”I booked 3 nights, but ended up staying a week. Place is nice, clean, cosy, staff superfriendly, surroundings very beautiful and peaceful. Kitchen is well equipped and there is lots of space. Dorm room was warm enough for me, I find most of the NZ hostels too cold on winter time. Moana Lodge is truly a home away from home and good place to stay if you need a break from busy Wellington. Only thing I wish to change is that they should have unlimited wi-fi., altough I did get as much those 1GB...

”Room was lovely & clean and had everything we needed. We booked a week in advance and was catching the late InterIslander so had a very late check-in. Mikki answered all my emails promptly and even put 2 orange cones in a parking space for us so we could park without any fuss late at night. Highly recommend and would happily return ☺️”

”Good downtown location. Used the pool and hot tub both of which were nice. Our Ferry out the next day was 3.5 hours late so they let us leave our car in the parking garage (we had valet parking the previous day) all the next day at no additional cost. Cooked in the kitchenette but the dinner menu looked good. The washer/dryer did not work well so beware.”

Didn’t know there was a beautiful restaurant upstairs but found out in the morning so went there. Breakfast was excellent and loved the decor and view of the ocean. I think the concierge could have been more helpful in educating ourselves with the hotel and surrounding restaurants and activities. ”
