”Basic accommodation in a building separate from the pub. My room smelt a bit weird. The shower lacked vigour and could not be detached from the wall. The staff were good.”

”It was good for the price. But to check in you have to call a number and wait. It doesn’t tell you that and the number is on the door so you can’t call early. Simeon from another location comes to let you in. Breakfast is do it yourself continental, not amazing. We are at The Pantry just a few places down, amazing. The lady that checked us in was nice. Room was small but worked. Bed slanted towards head so needed up sleeping opposite direction.”

”We arrived very late (as in seven the next morning) due to ferry problems. Desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly on the phone and in person.”

”AC broke on the first hour there. Asked for a different room and was full and told to check tomorrow. Called five times to get the AC fixed and was told each time it would be. The next day I was told they would try fixing it again instead of moving me. Supposedly tried calling me later in the night for a switch. I tried calling reception twice on separate times with no answer. Checked out finally. Spent two days sweltering. Worst experience in my 5 days around Ireland so far.”

”Overall, we had a very good stay. The location is very convenient, especially for getting around, while the rooms were pleasantly quiet, which made for a relaxing stay. The breakfast booking was also a nice surprise in terms of value, although it could perhaps have been communicated a little more clearly that the full à la carte breakfast menu was included, as this was not entirely obvious to us at first. ”This was a great place to take a break from our AB&B stays. The property is gorgeous. The bed were great. We both got a good nights sleep. The room was a nice size. An ice machine would have been the one thing that would have made this perfect. Oh yes and the breakfast was one of the best in our last 10 weeks of travel.”
