”I booked 3 nights, but ended up staying a week. Place is nice, clean, cosy, staff superfriendly, surroundings very beautiful and peaceful. Kitchen is well equipped and there is lots of space. Dorm room was warm enough for me, I find most of the NZ hostels too cold on winter time. Moana Lodge is truly a home away from home and good place to stay if you need a break from busy Wellington. Only thing I wish to change is that they should have unlimited wi-fi., altough I did get as much those 1GB...

”Check in and out was fast and easy, the receptionist was really nice and accommodating (we were only slightly late but he did offer to keep reception open until 9PM for us). We got a free upgrade, the room was clean and had everything we needed. Would probably stay again if I'm in the area.”

”Our stay here was absolutely amazing! Our room was spotless and luxurious. Loved the complimentary coffee and tea. Room service was amazing and staff were very friendly. We took our 11 month with us and the staff were very accommodating supplying a Portacot. We had breakfast down stairs as well and the lovely staff member would hold and entertain our baby boy when he got a bit restless and let us finish our breakfast. Will definitely be back and highly recommend ☺️”

”The Silverstream Retreat is a great setup. The accommodation exceeded our expectations - plenty of room, all required services and was set in a quiet location yet not far from areas we visited. The onsite laundry was great. The staff were great and even thought we were there over christmas the servicing of the rooms met all of our requirements. Will stay here again”

”I really enjoyed my stay. The Bucket Tree is very iconic, with colonial style architecture, lovely park-like surroundings and that giant bucket-shaped tree in front. I arrived in the middle of a heavy rainstorm, so really appreciated the warm and cosy room. I had a separate bedroom with a very comfortable bed. Beautiful kitchenette and bathroom. Everything was lovely and clean and the service was great. I stayed for two nights and my room was cleaned each day. Would definitely stay here again....
