I can’t really comment about the property. We arrived after an early evening flight from Seattle, drove to Midtown, only to hear that the hotel had oversold our room. I had only heard about airlines overselling but never have experienced it with hotels. It was Labor Day weekend, and we didn't get notified until we showed up at the front desk. The staff was apologetic--it's not their fault, it's Hampton's policy--so we weren't rude. They transferred us to a hotel in Dunwoody, kind of farther than we expected to be. But the hotel was nice (a Marriott property), new (8 months old), and it was comped due to the oversell of our original room. We had the choice to stay in the new property the next night or move back to Midtown. We stayed at the new hotel. It was cheaper than the original hotel, so overall it saved us money.
