This property is in an excellent location and has so much potential to be a A property. However, it is in need of some TLC. The furnishings and beds were very dated and many items were stained and not in good shape. The carpet in the entry has a huge stain, the ceiling fans wobble horribly, light fixtures have burned bulbs, the ceiling paint is peeling/cracking in the living room, the blinds don’t open in most bedrooms, the bedding (comforter/shams) are very worn, and the 2 chairs and couch cushions are stained and dingy. We battled ants in the kitchen and bugs, alive and dead, multiple times. Overall, this did not ruin our vacation, but seeing the potential and knowing how great this place could be with some minor improvements is really too bad. Things just look like they’ve been around a long time with lots of use. One thing to note is that the nearby bar does live music and/or karaoke on Fri and Sat nights until 11:00 PM and it’s very loud inside the lower bedrooms. Also, the bedrooms that back up to the public parking lot have floodlights that shine through the windows all night. I will say that the bedrooms are very nicely spaced out and none of them share a wall. Very private and quiet from room to room which is nice for multiple families staying together. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and the large amount of space that the house provided. We would consider booking again, but would love to see a small refresh happen to enhance the experience.
