Chalet't – Aughrim

”Was only 8klms to go back into town for dinner but the breakfast at the cottage was amazing”

”Second time to say here within a few weeks. One of our favourite places to stay. Very friendly staff, good food, comfortable room, and lovely location in the Vale of Avoca. All good.”

”Beautiful location, friendly staff and nice restaurant with variety of food options. But rooms are outdated. We stayed at newer building where the Smokehouse is, so can't say anything about main building and how well it maintained.”

”The host Noreen, greeted us at the front door and showed us to our room on the first floor. The interior was beautiful and decorated very nicely. Everything was spotlessly clean. Our room was small but adequate. The breakfast provided the next morning was wonderful. We had a full Irish Breakfast. Cereal, yogurt, juice, home made bread & jams were available as well. The site had plenty of parking available for guests on site. I highly recommend the Perrymount B&B.”

”Tudor Lodge was a disaster as it was not open at all. We had made a reservation at least one month earlier via internet, but after driving several hundred kilometers we arrived to Tudor Lodge around 7.p.m. just to find out, that the place was closed down. A man opened the door and said that someone had passed away and that they wouldn't admit any guests. Nobody bothered to call us and inform about the situation. Thank you very much, hotels.com and Tudor Lodge - because of this we had to find...

”The Glendalough Hotel was the perfect location for visiting the Glendalough ruins, park and waterfalls. Staff were excellent. The hotel is a bit dated. Two of my traveling companions had leaks and mold issues in their rooms but once it was brought to the staff’s attention, they were immediately moved. Breakfast and dinner were good quality. I would recommend this hotel if you’re visiting the area.”

”We checked in and discovered our room didn’t have a bath, we were swapped to a room with one immediately, not a problem to the staff. The room was clean, spacious and the bathroom was also spotless. Bath and shower were separate, water pressure was fab and hot water always available no matter what time of day you were using it. Mini fridge, kettle, coffee machine with pods, hair dryer, iron and ironing board all provided. Breakfast selection was plentiful and hot food was replenished regularly....

”Nice facilities, didn't care for the bunk bed in the room, not very comfortable and a bit claustrophobic.”
