O’vr Water Cottage

The O’vr Water Cottage is a completely renovated year round lake front cottage that sits over Cayuga Lake. Just south of the beautiful village of Aurora on a quiet private drive, this clean and comfortable oasis has unbeatable lake front access and views. You can’t stay any closer to the lake! The space
Year round lake front cottage on Cayuga Lake. Direct access to boating and swimming. Heat and air conditioning.
Guest access
Entire cottage, screened in gazebo with dining table and hammocks. Direct dock access to boating and swimming steps from the door. Guests swim at their own risk.
Other things to note
You can see bald eagles and their nest from the great room!

There is a Water Sports fun room available at an extra charge of $300. This includes 2 larger lake kayaks, 1 pedal boat, boating tube, 2 pairs of water skis, knee board, tow ropes, blow up boat raft, 2 river tubes for floating, 2 sunning floats, noodles, boogie board, snorkeling gear for adults and children, flippers, children’s floaties, and life vests.

Laundry is also available for an extra fee of $200 per stay. Because of our limited holding tank space, this helps pay for additional tank pumping.

Boats can be moored at our dock, but please do so at your own risk. Be sure to have ample bumpers/buoys to securely tie off to cleats.
Additional rules
Please:

No unregistered/ rsvp'd guests allowed - you must include all people entering the cottage in your reservation head count. (This includes adults AND children)

No parties or gatherings, registered guests only.

No smoking or candles.

Take your shoes off when inside.

Please remember you are on a lake - keep doors and windows closed to conserve your AC and keep bugs out! If the weather is cool enough, there are screens and no need for AC!

Water conservation - Please be conservative with water usage. Because of its unique location directly on the water, the cottage has a holding tank for the septic - keep showers quick ... go jump in the lake! Plenty of clean towels provided. If there is a “laundry emergency” please contact the host. Laundry room access is available for $250 per stay.

Pets - we all love our furry friends and sometimes can't part with them for the stay. Pets are allowed for a $200 additional fee, however they do have to abide by house rules as well - please keep pets off furniture and no sleeping in human beds. Also do not use bath and beach towels for pets. Pets also have to be on a leash while outside and potty breaks must also be disposed of. They must be crated while left unattended.

If something seems off or breaks in the cottage, you must contact the host. DO NOT try to fix it. Guests are responsible for any damage and missing items that occur during their stay.

Guests are responsible for replacing linens and towels that are damaged by makeup, bronzers, self tanners, stains, etc.

Please use plastic serve ware while dining and drinking outside, so you and future guests can safely walk barefoot!

Please stack outdoor chairs and put under cover during inclemate weather so they don't blow in the water!

Return any water sports gear to Bonus Water Room when not in use or during inclemate weather.

Put out any fires in fire pit when not under supervision.

All vehicles must be parked in designated parking area on lakeside by gazebo. Parking will fit 4 vehicles comfortably.

Take your shoes off when inside.

Use provided beach towels while outside, not bath towels.

Use only mild soap and warm water on kitchen counters, sink and stovetop.

Lock the cottage when not occupied. Simply press the “lock” on the top of the keypad.

Be mindful of our neighbors. There is also one security camera at the main kitchen door entrance by the road, this is for guest security and monitors arrivals and departures only.
