The house was great. Beds were super comfortable bed in a box type. No weird annoying things and stuff. One negative and its a big one. I didnt deduct a star because its not a house issue. The parking is horribe. No street parking and there is a shared driveway with another unit. This is a problem when you need to come and go. If they other property is occupied try to work it out. If you have a lof guests coming for a meet up like we did with 3 cars figure something out ahead of time. 5 stars on the house 1 star foe parking.

College Orientation for My Girl

We stayed at the retro cowboy house during my daughter‘s college orientation week. She’s planning to attend St. Edwards University in the fall. Check in was smooth and seamless, communication was excellent, and the house was charming and eclectic. It was also very well stocked! Many of the items we use at home were conveniently found in the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Little things like Whole Foods’ fruit wash spray and Seventh Generation dishwasher detergent were a lovely touch. We really enjoyed being so close to South Congress and walked to the downtown area almost every day. You really can’t beat the location! The house was very clean and comfortable. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars for cleanliness were because the exterior areas were quite dirty (no grass). It was too hot for us to sit outside most days, so that didn’t really impact us. All in all, we were very impressed wi

Perfect home and location!

We came to town for a family wedding with my 2 adult kids and partners. It was a perfect house and location! We were able to walk to all the great places on south congress, the house was clean, and the beds were super comfy. Note: the master has windows above the bed with no shades so you may want an eye mask to block light and there are no locks on any interior doors. But that didn’t affect our enjoyment at all. The hosts were great, sending messages when needed beforehand but never bothered us during our stay. I would absolutely book this place again! Loved it. Wish I remembered to take photos in front of the cute mural!

Retro Cowboy review

Our stay was so much fun! The house was perfect for our girl group celebrating a 40th birthday. All the beds were so comfortable with the bathrooms so easy to use with all of us. We loved the space we had and loved all the decor. It was perfect for us!

Extended weekend for festival

The property looks as good as the photos. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds and bedding were surprisingly comfortable. We all had no problems getting to sleep. The kitchen was well stocked. We would totally consider staying here on our next trip to Austin.

Perfect location!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Retro Cowboy house in Austin! It was the perfect location, very clean, great amenities! Loved the record player with old albums! The only small disappointment was that they waited to send the checkin email until the morning of our stay which resulted in us waiting for about 30 minutes to get in when we arrived. It was minor but a frustration at the end of a long travel day. Otherwise we would rent this house again!

Great location

Walking to all the fun on South Congress was great. One parking spot off the street. The house is next to a school, which was not in session at the time of our visit. I imagine parking and noise level may be different during the school year. Value for space (3 br) and amenities provided was good. If you’re looking for a SoCo house rather than hotel, I would recommend this option.

Retro Cowboy Weekend!

We absolutely adored the decor in Retro Cowboy. It was so fitting for our fun weekend in Austin with family. We had cozy nights in a fun nights out on the town. Only flaw was that my cousin was not able to bring her ESA dog so she was unable to come stay with us. However 5 stars nonetheless !! and
