First, the good: staff were generally helpful & friendly. Now, the place: I chose it on Expedia because it looked clean & new-ish, and removed from inner city issues. It was not especially clean. Dirt tracked in on the hallway carpets stayed there. There were homeless people EVERYWHERE; I didn't dare go for a walk, even in the daytime. Place was poorly marked & lit, especially for new guests arriving at night. Streetside facade poorly maintained. Entrance was in the BACK, well-lit, and required room key for double security (that part was good). The kicker: my toilet WOULDN'T FLUSH PROPERLY, FIRST TWO+ DAYS!! Had to wait until the next time the Maint. guy was on duty. One night, it literally sounded like some guy was building something in his room; thump, boom, bang! Not dancing, not sex, just noise, until 3:30 am. Resumed at 10:00am. There were nicer places all around, just not...THIS
ONE. With budget lodging, you get what you pay for.
