This is our 3d year in this house. While it is quite adequate, it has no personality, just a roof and place to sleep. It is a "tired" house and definitely requires some maintenance and TLC. Carpets need to be replaced long time ago, they do smell. When we moved a sofa from the middle of the room to the wall, a pile of dirt has appeared. I sent a picture of that dirt to the maintenance. We were promised a cleaning credit but that never happened. Kitchen is adequately equipped, however 4 wine glasses in the house intended for 8 people may not be enough. The float in one of the toilets does not sit properly...for 3 years and unless you actuate it a few times, the water keeps running. I tried to fix it myself, but the float chain is tangled badly.
Broken chair under the house was not removed in 3 weeks we stayed. Again, not critical, but the house clearly has no owner.
Well...actually it probably has the owner who DOUBLED the prices for 2022. At the total of $3646 per week in May the house better be...better, much better.
One word about the linen policy. We and majority of people drive down and bringing own linen is not a problem. We would rather bring our own linen than use what hundreds slept on before us. And we do bring our own, but still have to pay for linen "service" . Now the beds are made up before our arrival, so we have to also remove that well used linen we were forced to pay for. And the laundry will wash that unused linen wasting water and detergent.
Linen service MUST BE OPTIONAL. It is a waste of people's money, maintenance time, and bad for environment.
The last, but not the least...we stayed for 3 weeks meaning the house did not require to be cleaned in between weeks twice. Invoice does not specify credit for this.
All that said, we would stay in this house again and again if not for exorbitant 2x price increase.
This time was the end for us. Will look elsewhere.
