When we booked this high end/priced property, we did so with the expectation that if something went wrong, it would be fixed or attended to in a timely fashion. In short, the hot tub would not get hot. Although it was set for 104 degrees, as soon as we started using it on day 1, it quickly went down into the 90s and never broke 100 again. After being covered all night, the water was still well below 100. We have all the text interactions with the management company (Berkshire Hathaway) that show our increased frustration that the hot tub was not heating properly. They gave us instructions over the phone ("the hot tub guys are two weeks out, so we are hoping to be able to get this done over the phone"), we sent them pictures of the control panel, despite following their instructions, it still did not get hot. Body temperature is 98.6, so when you get in a hot tub that is at 92, you are cooling yourself (outside air 20 degrees). Apparently they sent somebody out on Wednesday (midweek) but did not communicate anything to us what the status of the repair was (we did not see him because we were skiing). In short, the hot tub was of no use to us, since we could not stay in it for very long. It was "used" by us twice the entire week, as we awaited a repair. Having the hot tub was the second most important item for our group in choosing a property.(ski in/out #1). Typically we ski till 4 then go back and enjoy the hot tub until dinner is ready. We also would use it after dinner to soothe sore muscles. That is about 5 hours of time per evening that we expected to be enjoying in the hot tub. While we understand that things go wrong/break, this situation was not handled in a timely fashion nor was there a "we will do everything we can to make this right" attitude. They would not even answer the phone, choosing to only communicate by text which was very irritating. (Although having the text now is helpful). As of this review, Berkshire Hathaway has made us an offer which to "compensate" us for the "inconvenience". It is laughable. We were a group of 11 professionals (including doctors) who just wanted to have a great ski week at a great house. So if you are looking for the same - choose a different property and certainly a different management company.
