”⸻ I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The room was extremely small and felt cramped, making it uncomfortable for even a short visit. Basic amenities were missing — there wasn’t even a drinking cup provided, which is something you expect as a standard. To make matters worse, the heater was not working, which made the stay very uncomfortable. There was also no elevator, which was inconvenient, especially when carrying luggage. ”The hotel and staff are overall ok and the parking is adequate but the room was another story. The bathroom was really small containing only a tub shower and toilet. The sink was near the door in the main room not where it should be and the toilet was too low with no support bars to assist sitting and getting up. No good for large or overweight or tall people. Will not stay there again.”

”We enjoyed our stay. Our hosts warmly welcomed us and served a delicious breakfast to us each morning ($10 Canadian each). They also suggested several good local restaurants for dinner. If we visit Surrey again, we’ll definitely stay at Sunny Island again.”

”Excellent hotel. Room was spacious and clean. Fridge/microwave were a nice bonus. Great spacious shower, hot and perfect pressure. Parking was easy, free and safe. Easy access off highway, but not too close that it was too loud. Provided breakfast was excellent with tons of options. Area was safe, and walking to restaurants and services. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will stay again when in the area. Highly recommend.”

”The exterior of this hotel is not good, however the front desk person was great, the room was clean, beds were very comfortable and quiet despite the hwy, more like white noise. I would book again.”

”The carpet and chair were filthy even though I was in a renovated room. I got a severe sinus infection from the air in that place, the air conditioning I suspect. Breakfast is packaged food and fruit with very weak coffee and no decaf.”

”Property is too old and rooms are too smelly. Showers are not working properly and rooms are not even occupied with proper and good amenities. Its better to pay little more rather than booking this hotel”
