Motellit – Backbone Mountain

”My wife and I stayed Sunday through Friday. The location was perfect for our day trips/hiking/horseback riding to Blackwater Falls State Park; the Albert Falls, Teresa Falls, Douglas Falls hike near Thomas; Dolly Sods Wilderness; Seneca Rocks; and eating in Davis and Canaan Valley. The hotel was very clean and everyone was friendly. We would stay there again.”

”The restaurant next door was no longer open. We did find a lovely Italian restaurant just a mile or two down the road. Many places within a few minutes drive. ”

”We were in the area for a ski trip which was a last minute addition, so accomodations were scarse. The Motel had rooms at a reasonable price. We had fairly low expectations. Everything was fine. A few things could be improved: 1. Need better curtains for the window that faces out front due to a very bright porch lamp. 2. Need a curtain for the bathroom window. We had to place a folder to block the view! 3. It was very hot in the room! Good for this winter weather if course, but was hard to...
