Welcome to Wanderlust Chiemgau! We created this space with privacy, comfort, and all the little details in mind. This is an entire, private apartment for you to stretch out and relax in while you visit the bavarian Chiemsee region. It is perfect for a couple’s getaway, a family vacay or remote working! We’ve included all the must-haves to give you the warmth of home away from home. Minutes from great hiking and biking spots, wellnes, shopping, restaurants and a short drive to all the best sites!



The Space:

Wanderlust Chiemgau is a 65 m²/700 square feet unit situated on the 1st floor of a small apartment building. Guests may check themselves in with the keys from the lockbox and come and go as they please.



The space has large windows to bring in lots of Bavarian sunshine, and pleasant lighting throughout for the evening. The master bedroom has a king-size bed with all new mattresses, allergy friendly bedding and bedside tables with lamps. The large closet provides lots of space for your personal belongings and includes hangers, an iron, and children’s amenities.



The spacious living room couch converts into a comfortable queen sleeper sofa. There is also a kid's travel bed, a queen air mattress and extra bedding for additional guests available upon request. Free WiFi access throughout the apartment.



Living room amenities include a 55-Zoll Smart-TV (Netflix, Amazon Prime available – bring your own login data), video game console (Wii U), travel guide books, family games, and a Bluetooth speaker to enjoy your favorite music. A small office desk and working area awaits those travelling for business.



Enjoy the calming views of the nearby forest from the balcony and relax in the sunshine after an eventful day of biking, hiking and exploring.



The newly renovated bathroom is fully stocked with towels, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner and body soap.



The full kitchen has a tea and coffee bar, plus everything you’ll need to prepare meals or enjoy takeout. Oven/stove, refrigerator with freezer unit, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, food processor, plenty of dishes and silverware, pots, pans and all the necessary accessories and utensils.



Washer and dryer available for guests to use. The laundry facilities are located in the laundry room in the building's basement. "Wanderlust Chiemgau" sign is marking our washer & dryer. Laundry detergent is provided..



Guest Access:

Self Check-in and Access Info: This is a self check-in property. Anytime after 3 p.m., come to Wanderlust Chiemgau, park and access the key in the lockbox using the code provided.



The Neighborhood:

The spa and resort Bad Endorf is one of the youngest spas in Bavaria with one of the strongest iodine brine springs in Europe. Wellness fans will get their money's worth in the 2019 completely redesigned Chiemgau thermal baths.



Located between Chiemsee and Simssee, Bad Endorf forms the entrance gate to the Upper Bavarian Lake District in the hilly Alpine foothills.



Activities

The spa town of Bad Endorf - ideally located between Munich and Salzburg - is considered the gateway to the Chiemgau, an ideal starting point for hikes, bike and mountain bike tours, winter, water and adventure sports.



There are paths for hikers, mountaineers and mountain bikers everywhere in the Chiemgau mountains, and cozy huts, mountain inns and alpine dairies invite you to stop by.



Both in cultural history as well as scenic view, the Chiemgau offers countless attractions that worth a visit. The magnificent castle of the Bavarian King Ludwig II on the island Herrenchiemsee, the monastery Frauenchiemsee, Benedictine abbey Seon or the castles Hohenaschau and Wildenwart. Popular destinations are also the places Prien (with the offshoot of the Chiemseeschiffahrt), Chieming, Traunstein, Marquartstein, Ruhpolding and Reit im Winkl.



Summer: swimming, hiking, cycling, MTB and racing bike, climbing, Nordic walking, water sports, boat tours, windsurfing, SUP & pedal boating, (mini) golf, tennis, water sports, high ropes course, geo-caching, authentic small villages, Bavarian cosiness in the typical beer gardens or big city flair in Munich or Salzburg. Relax and recover.



Activities can be designed according to all tastes and levels of difficulty such as hikes in the hills and lakes, downhill from the cable car stations, cozy climbs to managed huts, easy and difficult summit tours, hikes from hut to hut or romping on the practice area of the climbers of the Kampenwand.



Winter: Winter sports - many ski areas such as the famous "Reit im Winkl", Kössen, the "Steinplatte" and "St. Johann" are within easy reach within 30-40 minutes. In addition, ice skating on the nearby lakes, sledding, curling, snowshoeing, horse carriage rides, winter hiking and winter walks directly from the apartment, romantic Christmas markets.



The Tourist Information in Bad Endorf offers guests excellent service and gladly puts together individual excursion and business information.

Getting Around:

Please let us know upon reservation in case you would like to use the charging station for your electric vehicle!



5 min walk to the train station Bad Endorf; hourly train connection to the city center of Munich (50 min) and to the Austrian Mozart city Salzburg (40 min) with stopovers e.g. in Rosenheim, Prien or Traunstein. Excellent bus connection to the near and further surroundings from the station.



Other Things to Note:

The apartment is equipped with shutters, so all bedrooms can be completely darkened.



There are mosquito nets on most windows.



The apartment is on the 1st floor, a lift is unfortunately not available.



The community Bad Endorf charges a spa fee of 1.50 € per day and per person. These costs are - in contrast to most apartments - INCLUDED in the price!



There is a wallbox at the parking lot (underground parking).



We will also take over the corresponding message from the community for you. In the entire Chiemsee area and the Chiemgau mountains you get with the spa and guest card discounted entries (eg in the Chiemgau thermal baths, museums cable cars, etc.) and ride free with selected buses.



The cleaning fee is passed on to our cleaning fairy: she will prepare the apartment for you and you do not have to bring anything. The bed is already covered with fresh smelling bed linen, towels are of course sufficient available. Hypo-allergenic bedding and extra blankets and pillows are also provided. Your spa and guest card is ready for you upon your arrival in the apartment.
