”This house was exactly what we were looking for to relax after our daughter’s wedding! The house and the grounds were so inviting and well stocked with everything we needed. The location is excellent - and the recommendations of what to do/see very thorough and appreciated. Communication with the host was excellent. We really enjoyed our visit and hope to be back soon!”

”The Birch Retreat apartment accommodations were very nice as described. Great large shower, but not a full kitchenette (only sink is in bathroom) but owner added lots of accessories to make it easy to do basic things. The property (and one other adjacent Plum Retreat apartment that I know of) is connected to lovely & gorgeous new Secret Gardens with a new small shop & on-site events developed by the owner; the Birch apartment is a renovated part of the re-development of the former Green Gables...

”Beautiful architectural home blending modern with nature. The amenities are top notch, Miele appliances, DeLonghi coffee maker and delicious coffee, nice cutlery, pots and pans, crate and barrel dinnerware. Felt like home! The wooded setting was so relaxing and peaceful. Easy to get to all the top spots in Door County.”

”Property- lovely, clean, ample room for a group. Disappointed with a few aspects of our stay. First night - could not get in. Host tried to remotely fix the issue; ultimately we had to wait outside for 20 min for them to come access a garage to let us in. We learned it had been a problem with the previous guest & that they had gotten in through an open window. We were advised to leave the house unlocked if we went out because they would be with their grandchildren the next day & unavailable....

”Absolutely beautiful property! We have nothing but great things to say about it. Stylish and comfortable with everything you could want in a door county getaway. Close to a lot of our favorite DC place’s & restaurants. Host is wonderful to work with, really goes the extra mile. We hope to stay again!”

The setting is beautiful tucked away in the woods away from the downtown (well downtown for Door County lol) areas, but only minutes away from Sister Bay, Baileys Harbor and Ephraim so it’s the best of both worlds.
