Whether you`re relaxing after a day of exploring or hosting a cozy gathering, there’s plenty of room to unwind.

    The fully equipped kitchen features a passthrough window to the living room and an adjoining dining area with seating for six—ideal for meals with family or friends. Start your mornings with a cup of locally roasted Sorbenots coffee, complimentary with your stay.

    Nestled on Main Street, this home is a block from Barley Browns and Baker City`s Historic Downtown lined with shops, restaurants, and galleries. Also, steps from your door, you will find the public library, the beautiful Geiser Polman Park, and the riverwalk which is a paved pathway along the Powder River which flows through town.

    ***We’re happy to try to accommodate early check-in or late check-out requests whenever possible. Please note that approval depends on our cleaning team’s schedule, as we want to ensure the property is fully prepared for every guest.
    If approved, there will be an additional charge of $20 per hour for either early check-in or late check-out. For approval, please inquire with your host.***

    Welcome to our home! To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, please review and follow these house rules:

    General Rules
    • Quiet Hours: Please keep noise to a minimum, especially after 10 PM, as this home is in a quiet neighborhood.
    • Parking: Park in the driveway/carport behind the home off Resort street.
    • Shoes: Remove shoes indoors or ensure they are free of dirt to help keep the home clean.
    • Overnight Guests: Visiting guests not on the reservation require prior approval.
    • Smoking: Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Please collect and dispose of cigarette butts.

    Pet Policy (for Travelers with Animals)
    • Pets must be pre-approved (limit 2 dogs, under 70 lbs, and at least 1 year old).
    • Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. A $75 fee applies if pet waste is not removed.
    • Pets are not to be left unattended in the home.
    • Keep pets leashed around the neighborhood.
    • Pets are not allowed on furniture or beds.
    • Report any pet-related damage before checkout.
    • Please minimize barking out of respect for neighbors.

    Additional Policies
    • Damages: Guests will be charged for stained towels, linens, or damages beyond standard wear and tear.
    • Excess Cleaning: An additional cleaning fee may apply if the property requires extra attention after your stay.

Great downtown house to stay in! Wonderful location! Our main hiccup was the internet and tv not working our 3 day stay. However, we did not contact the host for help, just occasionally checked to see if the situation would correct itself (it didn’t). But lovely house, well stocked with ziplock bags, charging cables and bandaids, very thoughtful place! We would definitely use it again! (A little hot downstairs with no A/C, but great units in upstairs bedroom.) It would be nice if cleaning staff would put hand towels in bathroom instead of bedrooms upon arrival… :)

We just had a one night stay here in Baker City and this house was perfect for us. It was very clean. The furniture was nice and comfortable too. We slept well on the beds. Great location. We really liked the covered parking spot too, we had luggage in the car and it felt safer having it off the street. We would definitely stay here again!

Charming Nook!

The Nook is a fabulous place to stay in downtown Baker City. Perfect location and walking distance to Main Street shops, restaurants and many of the popular historic sights. Clean, comfortable, cozy, charming & luxe! We loved the stylish details and homey touches. Would stay again in a heartbeat!!

Storybook Nook is a darling vintage, well-maintained home, within walking distance of anything you might like to do in downtown Baker City (and there is so much to do!). There is a beautiful park and river path right behind the house, which is convenient if you're traveling with a dog. The yard is partially fenced in the front, so it is not a yard where a pet can run freely. It is a two-story home, with two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. It has a large, well-appointed kitchen and two roomy and comfortable living areas, and a second bathroom downstairs. There is a covered parking area in the back of the property, making it easy to bring belongings inside and keep the car cool during hot summer days. The host was fantastic, and the cleanliness of the property was superb. If you decide to stay here, bring ear plugs if you are disturbed by urban noise. Truck and auto traffic is prevalent from 5:30 a.m. until about 10:00 p.m. on weeknights as the property is perched on the corner of a main intersection through town, with traffic on three sides. Once we got used to the traffic rhythm and associated noise, we adapted just fine. Highly recommend this host for properties in the area - it was one of the cleanest, best appointed vacation rentals we've had the pleasure to enjoy.

Overall a pleasant stay. The house had comfortable furnishings, the decor was a fun and interesting, updated bathrooms and was very well located for easy access to downtown. Was very happy this house had off street parking. Some of the doors were a little tricky but once you got the hang of it, they were easy to close. It is a very old house so those things are certainly forgiven. Was concerned about noise but once inside it was not bad at all and if you know Baker City, there is virtually nobody out at night so was very quite while sleeping. Thank you!!!

Cottage Stay

A comfortable, but clearly a “work in progress”, older cottage home. There were several areas that need attention, spider webs around doors & windows, dried leaves around entrance (a leaf blower works great!), large garbage can near entrance is a big NO-NO! Old musty smell is a turn-off! One kitchen towel & bathroom towels were insufficient! and such inexpensive amenities! Decor was smart, furniture was comfortable, bed linens nice. Excellent parking, excellent communication & check-in was appreciated.
