âLovely stay at lord Beganals. The property is fabulous tastefully decorated and beautiful fresh flowers in the lobby. Staff are very friendly special mention to Karen and Kay breakfast team !!
Food in restaurant also delicious and freshly prepared very efficient even though it was very busy
Sleepy little village with lovely walk along the river
If you want to make this place even more special consider adding a spa or pool. No matter weâll be back đâ

âIt is difficult to fault Kilkea Castle as every aspect of the property impressed. The little things therefore matter and small faults in maintenance, which should be dealt with in a luxury property, tend to stand out more. However, that is digging into the fine detail. So, first impressions carried through from first stepping inside with a warm welcome, the engaging housekeeping staff and superbly professional dining/breakfast room staff. On site activities are a nice touch and worth looking at....

âFood service in the breakfast area was poor. A lot of stuff wasnât out, there wasnât a lot of cups or glasses for beverages. Food choices were extremely limited.
Other than that, the hotel is nice, clean, and exceptionally well situated if you want to just enjoy the Wicklow mountains â

âRoom very dark due to poor lighting.
Had chicken red Thai curry in the restaurant however there was large chucks of aubergine which were quite bitter. I have never had a Thai dish with that and wasnât expecting it.
There was an odour from the floor too which wasnât pleasant. â
