”It was the night after a big snow storm and I found myself stuck in the city. A quick check on hotels showed the Mt Vernon Inn. I got there at about 11:30pm. Check in was easy. The room was rather “colorful”. Like bright tropical or Mediterranean colors ….different but kinda cool. It was also clean and the bed was comfortable. It’s clearly an old building but appears to be kept in good condition. The only negative would be the heater. It was a big window unit AC/Heat combo unit....

”Everthing was perfect! By far the best experience that I've ever encountered with hotel staff. The front desk staff, Tykwon (sp?) and Dakota, were extremely pleasant, helpful and kind. The made-to-order breakfast was delicious and served in the hotel's beautiful restaurant by an incredible lady! I'm originally from Baltimore and on my frequent trips back "home", I like to play tourist and I stay in a different hotel each time. I've stayed in 14-16 different hotels throughout downtown Baltimore...

”Gorgeous high ceiling room with gorgeous shower. All of the staff were working double time to make our stay a great one. ”

”We decided to stay from December 30 to January 3, and it was an amazing experience. Twice we visited the gym, and we took full advantage of the sauna. We had access to ice skating, but we sat by the fireplace and watched the young people skate. New Year's Eve was a pure delight from in-room dining to the four different restaurants with distinct cuisines. The view of the fireworks was accessible from all four dinning experiences, but The Bygone was the best location. Next year spend your holidays...

”Front desk clerk was very friendly and informative. We needed batteries for the tv remote and she quickly resolved the problem also notifying us we would have access to Netflix ”

”The room was incredibly clean, kitchen was nicely stocked with dishes, fridge and kitchen area very clean. Comfy bed with nice linens. I loved having access to a free washer/dryer. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay again!”

”From the room to the breakfast everything was great , it seems the rooms were renovated recently , spotless . Good price , great quality parking it’s an issue but for the hotels a businesses in the area , you have the valet option and it’s around the same price of the public parking across the street . ”
