”Pub with rooms rather than a hotel. Restaurant menu was 3 pies 2 meat 1 veg served as it came no choice ( nice pie to be fair) not a restaurant! We didn’t have breakfast.
Room was clean and functional but beds desperately needed new mattresses and shower was very temperamental.
Carpark needs resurfacing potholes dreadful.
Property has a good location in a quiet setting with friendly & welcoming staff.”

”From the moment we arrived the staff were attentive and friendly, after a 3 and half hour journey we had a lovely roast dinner and a beer which went down very well. We were then shown our room which was perfect, and matched the quaint pub, the bed was comfortable. tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, & water readily available, en-suite with shower and t.v. Breakfast was lovely all fresh and local produce. Final evening we had a lovely meal which coincided with my husbands birthday, the dessert came out...

”The room, separate to and, around the back of the pub was stunning. It was warm and cosy with a controllable radiator for heat. Bed was very comfortable and we had a great night sleep. No shower, but a lovely bath with a handheld shower head. Perfect place to stay before starting the Thames Path. Food was elevated pub fare, and brekkie was the standard full English.”

”Room wasnt the biggest but perfectly formed.
Only disappointment was the shower was over a bath - difficult for me being slightly disabled to get in & out of. ”

”Lovely room, pub delightful, staff very accommodating , breakfast lovely and if wanted could have fully cooked but continental breakfast more than adequate. Enjoyed our lovely time there.”
