”What a wonderful place. The photos do not do it justice. This is truly a treasure, and the guest rooms are in restored traditional Thai homes. Beautiful hardwoods, and appropriate decor, the whole experience takes you back in time and relaxes your mind. The riverside location is lovely, and tranquil. Food is very good too (but order Thai food for breakfast). We will be back. ”
”Our stay at Royal River Kwai was a really pleasant one! The surroundings are amazingly peacuful and the riwer view nice. Hotel is a bit far away from center, but it was fine for us. Wifi connection was not good and there was not enough warm water from the shower, otherwise good!”
”The hotel is quite a long distance from Bangkok, but for a couple of nights it is worth a visit (and the 2-3 hour drive across from Bangkok). The setting on the river is beautiful. We have one of the rooms with the kayaks, and these are easily accessible/ readily available.
The only drawbacks were that there really is nothing to do in the local area, and to get into the town centre the only option is to use the hotel's taxi service (no other local services or Grab options available). There...
”Absolutely one of the best visits in any hotel. Staff was so helpful and went over and beyond to make sure we had the time of our lives. It was low season, but still they kept everything open in the hotel even some nights there were only 10+ guests total in all resort. Just amazing! Loved the nature around garden and also spent a lot of time feeding the fish around hotel area.”
