Nice 5 star hotel
5 star hotel in every other aspect in service and facilities, exception is poolstaff service, which is not at all in 5 star level. They do not help you finding bridge or walking around askin if you want to order anything, very poor in that. Everything else is very nice.

Nice 5* hotel. Everything is 5* service, only poolstaff are not 5* because they don’t necessarily help you to find the bridge, and if you want to order some drinks or food, they don’t actively walk around or they just don’t want to see you. Poolstaff was poorest ever seen in 5* hotels. We have stayed in this hotel already 5 to 6 times and everytime is the same problem with poolstaff, so now we wanted to publish it here also. Otherwise everything is perfect with the hotel.

Shangri la was as luxurious and comfortable as we expected it to be, and more! Did not expect the mini bar items to be complimentary for the first time, that was a nice surprise. The staff were super accommodating to all of our requests. The pool is a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of busy Bangkok. The buffet had so many options and multiple cuisines, but maybe the food could be kept a little warmer. All other top hotels around have a dedicated ferry service for their guests to cross the river, so Shangrila should possibly look in to doing the same; especially a direct ferry to IconSiam would be very convenient and useful to guests.

BTSの駅や船の乗り場から近く外出するのに便利。また相変わらず朝食の種類が多くてよかった。あとベランダに出てチャオプラヤ川を行き交う船を見るのが楽しい。悪い点は過去何回も利用しているが、部屋のファシリティがいよいよ古くなってきた（例えば、バス、トイレの入り口のドアが閉めにくい、コンセントの接触が悪いなど）。あとはクルンテープウイングのラウンジの朝食がなくなったり（自分は昔からNEXT2を利用）、イブニングカナッペがなくなった。昔はチェクイン時にウエルカムドリンクが出たが今回はなかった。また、部屋に置かれていたフルーツもなくなった。さらに、昔はチャックイン時に帰国のフライト時間を来てくれて、深夜便だと無料でレイトチェックアウトをしてくれたが今回は聞かれもしなかった。シャングリラウイングではなく、わざわざ高いお金を出してクルンテープウイングに泊まるメリットが以前よりも少なくなった。あとはホテルのせいではないが、また毎日ではないが、チャオプラヤ川対岸のイベント会場で夜遅くまで（午前中から夜23:15ごろまで）大音量（部屋が響くほどの音量）でコンサートをやっていたので、落ち着けなかった。

直前にリバービューの部屋にアップグレードしました。 アップグレードした分の値段の価値ありの眺めでした。 部屋も清潔でスタッフもみんな親切でプールも最高でした。 ただ一つだけ、駅の目の前だと思っていたら車で別館に連れていかれそちらの方に宿泊でしたので、出かける際に駅前だと思っていた分少し面倒さを感じました。

I first stayed at the Shangri-La 20 years ago and wanted to take my 10-year-old daughter back to relive some good memories. Happy to say the Shangri-La is still serving up wonderful service all these years later. The staff go above and beyond, breakfast is nothin short of wonderful and the location overlooking the river is fabulous. Highly recommend for families.

The Shangri-La was an amazing stay. Upscale and classy, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it worked for us. From having an in-room check-in (no waiting in the lobby) to their on-site bar, confectionery store and multiple shopping options, this hotel is in a class of it's own. The only downside I can think of (and it's pretty minor) was that getting to central Bangkok will take you about 25-30mins by taxi. Not a major issue as you'll be able to see different areas that you may want to explore, but something to be aware of.

OK, we though a great weekend away and enjoy the Shangrila experience...What a letdown!! We arrived and were told we are staying in the Krugthep Wing - it might well have been another hotel. 900m walk to and from the hotel, thru crappy old function room areas. NO ATMOSPHERE, no enjoying the ambience. What a waste. So disappointing. The hotel is OLD and rundown, whilst the staff we wonderful, with so many other great hotels to stay - SHAME on you Shangrila. Look around for better options and ALWAY check that they arent dumping you at the Krugthep Wing.its like staying in a cast empty nothing hotel.

Not only is the hotel, a beautiful property, but it’s staff is friendly and very professional. The restaurants are awesome and I mean all of them, including the overlooked Tuscan restaurant, boasting incredible meat and pasta, specialties paired with a great selection of wines.

We stayed in a Deluxe Suite in the Krungthep wing and it was one of the best “rooms” i have ever stayed in. The suite is more like a 2 room apartment, with separate large bathroom and an additional powder room fitted with its own toilet. The rooms are fitted with chandeliers, drapes and lovely furniture which exude a regal warmth and charm not found in most modern hotels. The rooms include complementary access to both the Shangri-La breakfast buffet and Horizon club (which is a must do experience located on the 24th floor of the Shangri-La wing, particularly the canapés sitting in the evening which serves complimentary cocktails and a good selection of food). Krungthep wing residents may use either of the two pools - we preferred the quieter Krungthep pool and the personal service but the choice is yours. The hotel is located overlooking the Chao Phraya river in arguably one of the best locations adjacent to the rail station, water taxi port and diagonally opposite the fantastic IconSiam shopping centre (a must see for Bangkok visitors - the hotel provides a regular complimentary shuttle service). Overall a wonderful hotel, great location and fantastic service (a big shout out to TonTon). Don’t think about it - just book a stay, you won’t regret it.
