With an elevation of over 5200 feet this condo offers a relaxing place to vacation and explore. The Sugar Mountain condo is in the heart of the Grand Father mountains. The condo is located on the third floor with a beautiful view of Grandfather Mountain. You can either relax in the main lobby or take a dip in the indoor pool and Jacuzzi or spend some time in the sauna or in the weight room. This condo is beautifully furnished and offers a cozy atmosphere. Its two bedrooms, sleeper sofa and two bathrooms will accommodate 4 people. It has a King bed in the master and Queen bed in the second bedroom.
Nearby attractions include Sugar Mountain Ski Resort which has 21 slopes. Beech Mountain Ski Resort which offers 17 slopes. The Zip Lining course at Hawks Nest is an amazing experience. The area has many local wineries as well.
It is close to many great experiences. Some of these include exploring near by towns and sites which include Banner Elk, Linville, Boone, Blowing Rock, Moses Cone house and trails, and Blue Ridge Parkway. Other fun things available in the area are Skiing, Hiking, Biking, Snowboarding, White Water rafting, Mining, Zipling and golfing.
If you love to cook, feel free to utilize the condo’s fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops and seating for six at the dining area.

Please note guest will need to park in lots below the building on weekends, holidays and during inclement weather. A courtesy shuttle provides transportation from lower lots on the property to the building. Guest are allowed to load and unload at the building before parking in lower lot if preferred. There is a guard gate with attendant 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week. The gate attendant will arrange transportation to and from the building.
You must be 21 years or older to rent this condo.

We had a great stay at this property. We come to the area to ski often and they were very accommodating. They let us check in early so we could get into our ski gear. Highly recommend.

The space was nice, clean and enough room for my family. Views from the balcony were great! Having to use the shuttle each time you wanted to leave was a nuisance but we were aware prior to our stay. The amenities were very nice and the hot tub was nice after a day of snowboarding. There are few things that need to be repaired/replaced in the condo. The fireplace is not usable per the host and each day it made loud noises as if something was banging against the walls of the fireplace. If it was windy, it was worse. Sleeping at night was interrupted constantly as it was windy the majority of our trip. Also, the primary bathtub/shower creaks loudly with each movement during a shower, which does not allow for a relaxing shower/bath. Overall, the stay was satisfactory.

Very nice, quiet condo

On top of the mountain! Staff was super nice. Nice pool and hot tubs to relax after day of activities. Wonderful cooling breezes even in middle of summer. Only inconvenience is having to park at bottom and ride shuttle anytime you want to go out. But the advantage to that is getting suggestions for food and activity from the shuttle drivers who were all also very kind and accommodating. Will definitely book again.

Spectacular Views

Our stay was pleasant. The condo was very accommodating. It offered comfortable beds and plenty of clean towels. The unit was stocked with dinnerware, pots, and pans. Overall the stay was great.

Nice little condo perfect for our stay

Really cute little condo with gorgeous views and convenient location! The kitchen was nicely stocked with utensils and cookware, which we appreciated. The beds and pillows were super soft and comfortable. We loved having our hot tea in the morning overlooking the sunrise coming over the top of Grandfather Mountain, too. A little bummed we could not park at the building but the shuttle was not too long of a wait. Note that ski and snowboard equipment cannot be kept in the building, so be sure to leave that in your car if you have to park down below and catch the shuttle up. Overall, a great stay for our quick weekend visit.

Not a fan

Having said that, it wasn’t this unit that was the issue. Our accommodations were fine aside from missing sheets for the pullout. The owner did get us those on day two. It was Sugar Top - The wait to check in was over an hour. We weren’t fans of the shuttle from parking to the condo area. The staff were less than helpful with any issue we had and actually told us that renting through VRBO was the worst app we could use “good luck getting your owner to respond” - surprising to us because we’ve never had issues. Overall a good ski experience but we won’t be staying at Sugar Top again.

Everything was great except for the parking situation. Having to leave the car at a satelite parking lot. There were shuttles that ran regular. But it seemed like a 30 minute ordeal just to get to the car. Other than that the stay was great

Sweet 16

My daughter turns 16 this week and we wanted to give her an experienced gift! So we took a little family getaway for the weekend and we had the absolute best time! Oh the apartment was exactly what we needed. It was a great price! On the day we left there even was a slight sprinkling of snow, which made the whole trip! Would definitely stay here again.

Love the views from the balcony. Everything was clean and worked. The mattress was a plus, it was actually comfortable. I usually don’t like mattresses in rental places. Small thing but definitely a plus. Definitely recommend.
