Perched below the scenic drive you will see this sweet six-sided house with plenty of outdoor deck space wrapped by the surrounding trees. On the ground level you'll find the private hot tub. On the main level the large private wooden deck awaits you with an outdoor dining table, gas grill, large porch swing and bistro set perfect for that morning coffee and of course a hammock for midday siesta. Let the sound of wind in the trees and the babbling brook calm you as you lounge on the deck with a beverage in hand along with your friends and family. Dine al fresco surrounded by nature as you listen to the quieting songs of wildlife. Soak your bones in the soothing hot tub after a long day on the slopes or trails. Catch the sunrise with a hot cup of coffee and your favorite book as the day slowly salutes you. Grandfather Mountain is a short 20 minute drive. You get the best of both worlds with this private tree house. It is located about 12 minutes from downtown Banner Elk, 3 minutes to Beech Mountain shops and restaurants, and within 2 minutes from Beech Mountain Ski Resort, Emerald Outback, and the Land of Oz. Getting Around:

Winter Weather & Mountain Travel Notice



During the winter months, weather conditions in Banner Elk, Beech Mountain, and Sugar Mountain can be unpredictable. Snow, ice, high winds, and rapidly changing road conditions are common and should be expected when traveling to and from the property.



For your safety and ease of travel, we strongly recommend arriving in a 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicle during winter months. Snow chains may also be necessary depending on conditions. Guests are responsible for monitoring weather forecasts, road conditions, and state travel advisories prior to departure and during travel.



We strongly recommend planning your arrival for around 4:00 PM while daylight is still available. Mountain roads can become significantly more difficult to navigate after dark, especially during or after winter weather events.



While we make reasonable efforts to clear driveways and walkways, snow removal is not guaranteed, especially during active snowfall or severe weather conditions. Natural snowfall may accumulate faster than it can be safely cleared. Snow shovels are provided for guest use so you can clear additional accumulation to your preference.



Mountain travel may be slower than expected, and road closures or delays can occur without notice. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your trip investment in case of weather-related travel interruptions.
