Reserve at Sugar Mountain on paras ja luonnonkaunein vuoristokeskus Länsi-Pohjois-Carolinassa. Nauti parvekkeelta luonnollisesta kauneudesta ja sielua tyydyttävästä näköalasta Blue Ridge -vuorille ja Linvillen laaksoon. The place is nice and secluded. I loved the fireplace and the jacuzzi tub was nice after being on the slopes all day. Not as good of a view of the slopes as advertised. The entrance was covered in ice when I arrived and I had to use a plastic shovel that was left there so that I would be able to walk through a portion of it without falling. This was a safety hazard all weekend. A bag of trash was sitting by the entrance when I arrived and all weekend. And the microwave didn't work initially until I fixed it the second morning. I left my pillow and called Vascasa to let them know a few hours later and I was promised someone would call me right back so I could go back and get it since I was in town but no one did and I had to leave. I probably won't choose to stay in this unit again when I visit Sugar. And I may not choose Vascasa due to the lack of communication about the pillow.

Host made some improvements from last time. Lights were fixed so you could actually use the lamps that were in there. Fireplace works finally but barely. Cable box works so that’s great that both TVs work but both TVs aren’t great. Also the utensils are still awful. Beds are great. Living room furniture probably needs replaced. We love the location, view, and sleeping. Bunch of rest of stuff needs updated. Feels very pieced together without any love.

House had visible pet stains upon entry.It had a weird smell when we walked in.Our family had to purchase cleaning supplies to clean and freshen the home.The guest bathroom smelled like urine and the exhaust fan fell open on the second day.The master bedroom bathroom had mold and mildew in the grout,so the bathroom smelled like mold.The master bedroom bed is extremely hard it’s like laying on concrete.Its a ruined stained egg crate matress cover in the closet in master bathroom.No internet access the whole time.They’re old pots and pans in the kitchen that have rust stains.No smart TV’s.No tv in guest bedroom.Tv in Master bedroom is the size of a tablet.Extremely disappointed with my stay here.Our family left 2 days earlier from a 4 day booking.

Spectacular View

Stay was short but it was great. 2nd bedroom and the master bathroom were cold but the fireplace was working really well and the living room was very warm.TV and entertainment can use upgrade.

Mountain snowboard trip

poor communication regarding fireplace operation

This trip was a one-year anniversary trip. When I was searching for a romantic place to stay, having a fireplace and a jetted tub were very important to me. After we arrived, we looked for instructions on how to turn on the gas fireplace. There were none. There was a remote with an On-Off switch that did not function. So we opened up the bottom of the fireplace insert and found some manufacturer's instructions. The illustration on that card did not match the installation - everything was backwards. We called the help phone number provided and I was told someone would email me instructions within 5-10 minutes. I checked my email at least 30 min later and there was nothing in Inbox or Spam. So I called back. Spoke with someone different. I was told there was no such thing as emailed instructions, and that the local manager would be the only person who could help me. But....too bad.....they don't take calls after 6pm unless its an emergency. I was told someone would call or text first thing the next morning. Never happened. I got a call the evening of 10/17. Was told he would come by in the morning to get it to work, which he did. So we had my "essential" fireplace for one night. He told me he would have the local manager call me. Never happened. Other issues that need attention: light over stovetop not working, both lamps in 2nd bedroom not working. What appeared to be a camping lantern was left to use. One lamp in 1st bedrm has broken switch. I would like a call from someone.

Spacious, comfortable home with amazing view

We loved this condo! Everything was as decribed. Room to spread out and play games while enjoying the view and fire. Parking was easy. Kitchen was well stocked. Kids enjoyed the jetted tub. We did try to contact the property manager about the exterior lights being off. It was pitch black at night which made it difficult to cross the bridge from parking and navigate the stairs. The response via Vacasa text was prompt and seemed promising. However, the local manager did not text so his number showed up as spam as we were out enjoying our day. Unfortunately, we returned to a pitch black complex once again. We left a day early so do not know if the issue was resolved.

Great views and peaceful surroundings

Property was great overall, no one was staying at the other locations at this time so we had the facility to ourselves which was very peaceful. Some of the best views in sugar. Master bedroom blinds were broken which interrupted the view but that is the only complaint to this beautiful property.

Beautiful location for our weeks stay. Excellent views and accommodations were comfortable. Our concerns are based upon lack of maintenance. Maintenance of condo needs addressing. Broken blinds in master bedroom, remote for master bedroom inoperable. Carpeting in living room was heavily stained. Understanding it is a pet friendly place ( very appreciated by us) but carpets were not clean. Maybe consider hardwood floors. Sliding door in main room does not lock. Requested an extension to extend our stay and we were denied. Very confusing since condo was available on multiple online sites.

Amazing location and view!

Great location and comfortable stay for sure. Only downfall was that there weren’t any direction on how to get the fireplace to turn on. Tried the supplied remote control but no luck. Fireplace thermostat on the wall also did not have batteries in it so we tried swapping the batteries from the TV remote in to see if that would resolve - still no luck. Wasn’t until the next morning that I was able to locate a small toggle switch located behind the fireplace grate to turn on the igniter 😞. We had been looking forward to a nice evening in front of the fireplace for our mountain getaway, but didn’t get that chance. Recommendation would be to provide a ‘how to’ reference sheet for the unit for items like that. Other than that, the stay was great. Would rent again.
