Cabin is nice. Spaces are ok. It just was really dirty. We had to wash ALL the bedding and towels. The first night we all developed allergies. Kitchen counters were very dirty and the showers too. Bedding was very dusty.I know the owners trust the cleaning team and is jot their fault.

Wonderful Stay

Our family/friend group consisted of 4 adults, 3 teens, and two kids. We all were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay here. We had a beautiful view and anything one would need is provided. The hosts are great communicators. The town is adorable and has a great mercantile close by. We would definitely recommend staying here.

3 night stay

The accommodations were nice. Great location. Short walk to the lifts. Everything was in working order. Our only two real issues were, the keypad did not work upon arrival. Luckily after a lot of time spent trying to get into the home we found the back sliding door unlocked. Apparently the keypad was not charged. I did not bother the owners with this issue but did notify them when we left. The only other problem was in the comfort of the beds. The mattresses in all of the bedrooms were far too firm for my taste. But that is just my preference, and other people may prefer their mattresses to be firm. We did leave the night before our expected departure due to severe weather conditions moving into the area. Overall the home was as advertised and our stay was pleasant.

Great location

This property is about a 5 min hike directly to a ski lift. The kids with us were a little too young (4-6) to benefit from the location as we still had to hike up to the new magic carpet. We still very much enjoyed the location as it’s very close to everything driving. The bonus room downstairs was great for our kids to have room to play. There are toys onsite as well that our kids enjoyed.

The property is ideally located near to the ski resort, in a nice neighborhood. Also close to other towns and activities. The owner was great and very responsive. The. property could use some updating of the furnishings

Amazing Views of Peak Fall Leaves

House was clean and exactly as described. Amazing views of mountain vistas from the whole upstairs. Lots of toys for kids, my son was obsessed with the play kitchen in the bunkbed room. Easy communication with owner who helped get everything sorted when we checked in. Very close to all the restaurants on Beech Mountain and a couple of cute little trails the kids loved. We also checked out the Woolly Worm Festival in Banner Elk, hiked Linville Falls and took a spin on the alpine coaster at the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster. Thank you!

Amazing holiday getaway

My family and I were in search of a holiday getaway after a rough year, and this property did not disappoint! The location was perfect, a 2min walk to Beech Mtn. Slopes, plenty of space and beautifully decorated. We stayed during the blizzard over Christmas and the house was incredibly comfortable, which was good because the windchill was -41F and we were snowed in for almost 2 days. David (one of the hosts) was incredibly responsive and positive, and made us feel very welcome. The home came with a guidebook that detailed everything we needed to know, from Wi-Fi access (which was FAST) to local restaurant recommendations. I can’t speak highly enough about the whole experience, and would absolutely recommend this property and these hosts to anyone.

Six weeks at Beech Mountain

My wife and I rented the house for six weeks and had friends and family visit during our stay. The house is great for couples or single friends or families. Beds are comfortable and configured well 1 king room, 2 queen rooms and 1 bunk room with 4 beds. The kitchen has been renovated nicely and is well stocked including good pans and knives and utensils. The gas grill on the deck is new. Bathrooms downstairs have been nicely updated, but the upstairs master bathroom could use a little refresh, it’s serviceable and has great water pressure. The owner, David is very responsive, thoughtful and accommodating. He quickly addressed issues and proactively let us know the dishwasher had to be replaced the week we were arriving, in order to help with the inconvenience he had disposable plates and utensils delivered to house for us to use until the dishwasher replacement was completed. The house is very close to the Beech Mountain ski area, town and our favorite, the Emerald Mountain Outback for hiking. This is a really nice Carolina mountain town.

Fantastic property!

We had a group of nine and had a phenomenal stay! We were able to walk right across the street to ski down Beech and then walk back and forth for breaks. It worked out perfect and David was very communicative, which is always super helpful.

Fun family Fall weekend!

We had a great time. The house is in a great location on Beech mountain with great views. The beds are comfortable, and when we were relaxing, we were comfortable in the lazyboys! We had everything we needed to have dinner in one night. The rest of our trip we stayed busy with a visit to the Alpine Coaster, Grandfather Mountain, and Blowing Rock. We also took a day trip to Damascus, VA to ride the Virginia Creeper trail (highly recommend!!) It was about 1.5 hours away. Gorgeous fall views among the leaves. We will consider staying hefe again if we come back to ski sometime.

Wonderful time!

Our family had a wonderful stay at the house. Family dinners on the deck with magnificent views of the mountains, walks to the ski valley and occasional ride to the top in a chairlift, having a movie time on a rainy day helped create unforgettable memories. The house has everything you need to feel at home but if you forgot to pack something, Amazon and Instacart delivery work fine. Having high speed internet was a big benefit too as my husband and I had to work remotely full time during our 5-week stay. I also want to highlight hospitality and great communication with the owner as he went above and beyond to make sure we have everything we need and answer any questions.

Mountain Getaway

This home provided the perfect getaway from the summer heat and traffic of the big city. With four bedrooms and a game room, there was plenty of room for our two families. The deck provided a nice spot for grilling and watching the run set behind the mountains. The home was as pictured. The kitchen was stocked with all the items necessary for preparing our group meals. Even in August, windows open and the window fans in the bedroom made the temperature quite comfortable. It was an easy and relaxing stay!

The cabin is beautiful and only a 3 minute walk to the slopes. Would recommend to anyone!

The cabin is very large and spacious, has a beautiful view, and was the perfect size for 10 guests. The kitchen had everything needed for 10 guests to cook food everyday. We never ran out of hot water during our stay and temps ranged anywhere from 8 degrees to 34 degrees during our stay. All in all it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We rent houses all over the country fairly often. This one was a family vacation with children. The house was a great location to the slopes It was advertised for 10 people to sleep and we had seven. Three children under the age of 10. We were only able to find six towels in the whole house. While the Beds felt clean and were comfortable I can’t say that for other parts of the house. There was one toilet paper roll in each bathroom, the floors have not had a really good cleaning in the corners especially the bathrooms because there was hair and dirt behind the doors. The trashcan Smelled and had brown stuff in the bottom under the bag. There was only one kitchen trash bag for the whole weekend we had to buy more. The microwave was left with whatever greasy mess from the people prior to us. The kitchen dishes and utensils were scattered in all of the cabinets and very unorganized. We had a great time at the house and thought it was set up pretty decent. We did not understand why you cannot use the fireplace in the wintertime but there was a big do not use sign taped to the front of it. That is part of the draw to come to the mountains in the winter. The hot water heater may have an element going out. There was only one hot water heater for a two-story winter home. The hot water ran out within five minutes of each shower which took the household a lot longer to get ready because we had to wait for hot water I hope this will help review will make it perfect for the next guests.
