”Fantastic place to stay and eat although the "castle view" accommodation mostly obscured the castle by tall trees. Make sure you do the morning tour!”

”Lovely hotel, our room was great and breakfast fantastic. Didn’t use the pool, fitness centre or spa so can’t comment but they looked nice. Did do a 7km walk run on one of the recommended routes around the hotel which was very scenic. We’ll definitely return when the build is finished and new restaurant is open.”

”Ian and Kate were spot on and just what we needed after a day of hiking and exploring. Friendly and approachable but gave us our space. Helpful with dinner ideas. They cooked a delicious made to order breakfast that left nothing to be desired. Highly recommend!”

”The pub is situated in peaceful countryside and is in a great location. The proprietors were so welcoming and kind, helping me to my room with my luggage. My room was comfortable, nicely decorated and the bathroom clean with nice toiletries. The food in the pub was good, and the service was friendly and efficient. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would certainly stay there again if I’m in the area.”
