”Very strict policies. Don't arrive early. Don't arrive late. Also be prepared for a long lecture about your duties and responsibilities as a paying customer. I don't think I've ever felt so stressed about staying at a hotel. I actually felt the need to take photos of all surfaces and rooms before check-out just to be prepared for the much advertised spot-checks. The funny thing is that with all the emphasis on guest-cleanliness there was a smell of mildew at the elevators and bathrooms, cobwebs...

”I had a lovely stay. The place was really cosy, spotlessly clean and clearly very well looked after. It had everything I needed and was the perfect base for a trip away in Halifax. I’d happily stay again and definitely recommend!”

”the advertisement gives the impression that it's a clean set up....in reality it was the opposite. Dirty, stuffy, dusty not as was described and in the attic which I requested information and confirmation on only to realise it was after I had made the booking and attended the premises. Not at all impressed and requested money back directly from the host and through VRBO.....typical of most HMO property rentals within Asian sectors running HMOs.”

”Good Points: Central location, close to Piece Hall and train station, bars and restaurants. Quite a roomy apartment, well equipped kitchen with hob. Reasonably quiet. Problems beyond control of owner shared stairway/communal area was poorly kept but worse was the disgusting stench when entering the property in those shared areas. Commercial bins overflowing at entrance of property was only alerted about the communal area needing TLC and the number of stairs by owner two days before arrival and...
