”Nice, modern and elegant hotel in very good condition and beautiful grounds. Conveniently located when visiting UVA campus. Could be improved: restauration options. Diner and breakfast options were limited and costly. Parking was valet only and expensive.”

”I was surprised that we did not get any daily room cleaning service. One morning the cafe was closed Because an employee failed to show up for work. They did offer us compensation with free continental breakfast and compensation at the restaurant. Sean bent over backwards in apologizing to us. ”

”Our stay at the Dinsmore was perfect. Jake the manager responded quickly to every question and the location couldn’t have been better - everything within easy access and onsite parking. The ambiance of the buildings made us feel part of the history that drew us to C’ville for a mini-vacay and the included breakfast at the attached restaurant was beyond divine. Only problem was we were always too full to eat lunch later!!”

”Friendliest staff ever. From the valet parking, restaurant, housekeeping and front desk every one made sure you were taken care of. Bathroom shower was smart and beautiful, beds comfortable. The location was perfect for visiting UVA campus.”

The only downside was the cleaning - a previous customer had hidden empty alcohol bottles in the room's cabinets that were left there for us to find - that made me feel a bit uneasy. But in all a good visit regardless.”

”This location is right in the heart of the University of Virginia grounds so it was very easy for us to drive to John Paul Jones arena for the basketball game and to Klockner Stadium for the lacrosse game. It is on a cu-de-sac with other houses. It is very close to restaurants, the Corner, and the downtown mall. If you are going to Scott Stadium, you can walk there which is great because parking is expensive and difficult to get. The room was clean, but not bright and the temperature on the...

”Great location within walking distance of multiple dining options. Easy walk to the self-park lot. Very helpful staff in the lobby. Views from rooftop terrace are great! And the pizza up there is delicious. Very easy 1 block walk to/from parking lot. @$20 for overnight.”
