âMixed Experience â Great Location but Hygiene Needs Improve
The hotel is very well located, which made getting around quite convenient. The staff were also friendly and helpful throughout the stay, which we appreciated.
However, the overall hygiene standards, particularly in the toilet, were below expectations. Additionally, the carpets in the reception area and corridors were quite old and had an unpleasant smell, which affected the overall experience.
With some improvements in cleanliness...

âClean room nicely appointed. Quaint bar with wood fire and good selection of drinks including local ales. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast included was cereals and breakfast sandwiches (bacon, eggs etc) .

âWe had a 1 hr wait for our room to be ready .spacious and clean but tatty and needing redecorating .wallpaper hanging off the walls shabby furniture.
Towels and bedding good.

Bank Holiday weekend booked fora spa weekend and the salon was shut the entire time of our stay. Disappointing.
