Welcome to The Prickly Pear, a peaceful lakefront safari tent inside Lake Bastrop North Shore Park, developed in partnership with GLAT Austin. Just one hour from downtown Austin, this cozy retreat blends Texas nature with elevated comfort — perfect for couples looking to slow down and reconnect.

This tent is ADA accessible, featuring a ramp entry with no stairs, making access smooth and stress-free. While the tent does not have a private bathroom, guests can use the ADA-compliant restrooms and showers located just a short walk away.

Inside, you’ll find a thoughtfully designed glamping space with a king bed, plush linens, and full HVAC for year-round comfort. The warm modern interior and subtle rustic touches create a setting where you can instantly unwind.

Enjoy the convenience of a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot with complimentary coffee for relaxed mornings. Step outside to a private fire pit and gas grill, ideal for lakeside meals or stargazing under Texas skies.

🐾 Pet Friendly

Up to two dogs welcome for a $49 fee per pet, per stay. Pets must remain leashed outdoors, cleaned up after, and never left unattended.

The Prickly Pear offers simplicity and comfort in a lakeside setting. Spend your mornings walking the shoreline, your afternoons kayaking or fishing, and your evenings cozied up by the fire. You’ll be staying inside a public park, where you may see other glampers and families enjoying the outdoors. For group getaways, multiple tents and cabins can be booked together.

🐜 Glamping & Nature Notice

This is glamping — a blend of comfort and the outdoors. You may see deer, squirrels, or a few friendly bugs. Keep the tent zipped, bring bug spray if needed, and don’t leave food outside overnight.

• Check-In: 4:00 PM

• Check-Out: 11:00 AM

• Located inside Lake Bastrop North Shore Park (LCRA)

• Trails, fishing spots, picnic areas

• Quiet hours: 10 PM – 8 AM

• Camp Store: 9 AM–5 PM (snacks, ice, firewood)

• One parking space included; overflow parking available

• Always check active burn bans before lighting fires

💳 Payment & Cancellation Policy

• 50% non-refundable deposit at booking

• Remaining 50% charged 14 days before check-in

• Cancel within 24 hours: 90% refund of deposit

• Cancel up to 30 days before: 90% refund of deposit

• Cancel less than 30 days before: no refund

• No weather refunds unless a county emergency order is issued

• $150 security hold placed 1 day before arrival
