”We had a wonderful stay in the Cart Lodge cottage. Location was perfect - easily accessible from the main yet very quiet and secure with plenty of parking. Cottage had everything we needed - including very comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen (we cooked multiple times) and a cozy sitting room. Best feature: the sheep! Loved watching them from the window and feeding them digestive biscuits in the morning. We would definitely stay again.”

”The room was nice and big. The staff were friendly. The location was great, near lots of pubs and restaurants. The pub is good too, with friendly people. Not necessarily suited for young children on friday night as the area is loud until 0030, although it did quieten down once bars were shut. The shower water pressure in the evening seemed a lot lower than the morning.”

”Great overall hotel and for easy access to coast line from Hastings through to Seven Sisters Cliff The hotel is next to train line but no issues re noise Staff is great and supportive Breakfast various options from hot and cold. Great Sunday roast.”

”What a wonderful hotel,lovely setting,all of the staff were excellent ,professional,friendly and the hotel had a lovely homely feel,would recommend to anyone . The only thing l can say being slightly negative is that the spa in the pool area felt very dated ,and the decor in places throughout the hotel could do with revamping!! Wonderful stay 😊”

”The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was unable to offer an evening meal as there was no chef, meaning we had to dine out. The breakfast, although delicious, was disappointing as no mushrooms or tomatoes were available.”
