Mahtavaa näköalaa mukavasta kahden makuuhuoneen talosta, joka nukkuu 7. Valaistu yksityinen laituri aivan Caney Creek "Y" yläpuolella erinomaisella kalastuksella. Alle 1 minuutti Intracoastal Waterwaylle ja 5 minuuttia East Matagordan lahdelle veneellä. Nauti näkemästä useimmat Teksasin vesilinnuista omalta kannelta. Tämä on vieras suosikki, jossa kalastajat perheet palaavat kerta toisensa jälkeen. Makuuhuoneessa on queen-vuode, toinen makuuhuone on pyramidi kerrossänky ja queen-size-vuode. We had a great stay at the Fishing House. House was very clean and well stocked. The fishing started slow but ended up doing pretty good. I would definitely stay again.

Fishing success!
Place was very clean! Fishing peer is great and fishing was incredible! Caught 58 fish including black drum, sand sea trout, sheepshead, flounder and 1 chair that blew into the water. 3 crab from the crab trap. All in three nights! Great place and would definitely recommend!

fishing getaway
Our host, Kate, took great care of us. She was always available to answer any questions in a timely manner. The property was very nice, great location, good pier and a nice view. The fishing was hit and miss depending on the tide. We did manage to catch several big crab and some sand trout. The big fish of the trip was a 36" black drum. It took several minutes to land the monster fish, but we finally got him in. He posed for a few pictures before we released him back into the creek. It was a relaxing and memorable vacation. We look forward to staying again.

Everything was spot on. The host was great and fishing pretty decent considering the weather and time of year. Update needed to listing, there is no hotub as listed. The hot tub doesn't matter to us, but may to some. 5 star's and will book again in the spring.

Summer Trip to Sargent
We had a great week at the Fishing house. Kate and Donna are always awesome to deal with (thank you both). The fishing in the bay can be a challenge in the warmer months, but we still had some luck out on the boat. And the fishing off of the pier was great as usual. Tip for pier fishermen: The activity seems to pick up significantly as the tide starts to come back in. And the later the better, so get that afternoon nap in. We'll be back again next year for sure. Thanks again.

Fishing heaven
We’ve rented the fishing house several times throughout the past years and it never disappoints. The location is one of the best places on Caney Creek. We love this house and we will continue to rent with Caney Y on VRBO.

Waisted money
Won’t be returning. Cute little fishing house. No beach worth going to. Very high winds actually took the river away and left nothing but mud. So couldn’t fish or bbq. Spent one night and left. Warning high winds no refunds is in contact!

Our second stay here and we had a great time once again. If you’re looking for a luxury resort community, Sargent is not your cup of tea. If you’re looking for an off the radar place to fish, bird watch or just relax this is it. This property is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. Manager is exceptional to work with.

Great getaway!
Everything was as described. We only caught a few keepers, but it was likely post-freeze bad luck... I’m confident the fishing will pick up later and this will be a great spot for anyone! Quiet neighborhood and great pier. Great wi-fi as well!

We had a great short stay here. The fishing was good and even though it was cold we really enjoyed ourselves. It was nice to come back into the warm house and be cozy after a long day/night fishing.

Enjoyed our stay very much. The house has a nice view of the creek and the sunset because of the wide deck and large windows in the kitchen and den. The furniture is very comfortable and everything was in good working order. Appreciated the fast internet. The property manager did an excellent job of answering questions and making sure we got checked in without problems. It's a very comfortable rental.

Perfect week away
This is the 4th year we've stayed here. It is so quiet and peaceful and the view from the deck is beautiful. Love watching the sunsets! The house is comfortable and there's good fishing without needing a boat. It's pretty idyllic.

Great relaxing stay
We had a great stay @ the Fishing house. Perfect peaceful place for a vacation to just sit and relax or get out and take advantage of the fishing dock out the back door. The place was well stocked with everything you would need in the kitchen we did all our own meals in the house except one and we took advantage of one of the restaurants that is literally around the corner from the house. There are three or four right there close also a Dollar General a few miles up the road which is awesome as we did forget to bring some items. There are several bait shops close as well if you are fishing. I would have loved it if the windows would have been able to raise properly as the breeze off the coast was awesome and we could have saved on electricity bill for the owners if we could have opened them all. Only issue we found was the fridge and freezer did not cool or freeze properly but this will not detour us from booking again. Thanks again to Kate and Captain Jean for the wonderful stay We will be back!!!

Thanksgiving Weekend
My son and I stayed at the Fishing House from November 22-25, 2018. The house was cozy and comfortable. We spent most of our time on the fishing pier. We caught a lot of fish, mostly black drum. A couple bull reds, one flounder , sheepshead, and a few croaker. Fishing was just as good during the day as at night. The pier lights were great for attracting fish of all sizes. We had a chance to see the Christmas Boat Parade which was really nice. We had such an enjoyable time that we didn’t want to leave. I would highly recommended this place to anyone. I think, I may spend Thanksgiving here next year.

Great Experience!
This is the second time we have rented the "Fishin' House, and the third time we have rented from Kate at Caney Y. Each time has been a great experience. The house has wonderful views, and all the equipment needed to enjoy a great weekend. We averaged about 15 keeper crabs a day off the dock, and had great crab dinners each night. Kate and her team are right there, and arrived within a few mins, when we accidentally locked ourselves out in the evening......that's service. This time we discovered "the inlet" and enjoyed the beach at Mitchell's cut. we will be back again!
