”This is such a lovely retreat, all credit to manager Kelly and her family. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and it was much appreciated. The refurbished rooms were nice, clean and warm and the private shower was awesome. We had an awesome time and were lucky to see two kiwi on the grass near the bush even though it was raining, and we heard lots more. It was really magical!”

”The hotel was nice and clean. We booked an extra night and had to change room, all went smoothly. There was a seaview as the neach is really close. Also a nice small poolarea. Staff was very friendly. There was no restaurant, but we had very good breakfast in a restaurant next door. ”

”Ash Grove was the perfect place for our stay. It is out of the way and rather private. It is not in the middle of Paihia but close enough that we could easily drive in to town to eat and go on our tour of the Bay. Even better, it was just down the road from Haruru Falls, which was spectacular. We loved going on a walk along the river. We felt very much at home in our little cottage. Grange and Bronwyn are fantastic hosts and do a fantastic job maintaining their property. I highly recommend Ash...

”It was like staying in a cabin in the bush. Quiet, spacious, private and shady with a well equipped kitchen, and a bbq on the balcony. Split level sleeping arrangement and large bathroom. Easy walk to the beach and into town. We’d stay there again. ”
