Nice hotel, the only issue is that the check in is from 5 to 8… breakfast starts at 8… but most of the excursions start at the same time… On the other hand, it is just three blocks from where all the tours leave and it has a small parking area in the front.

Interesting building very close to town centre, Tapestry Museum, cathedral and plenty of places to eat out (no evening meal offered). Room and breakfast area clean and presentable. Hosts friendly - Séverine speaks English. Stair carpet getting a bit old and musty (there is no lift). Free public parking 2 or 3 hundred metres away. A few parking places being made on the site.

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed a wonderful stay. The room was well equipped and had a very large bathroom. Our hostess, Severine, was gracious and extremely welcoming. Highly recommend this lovely place!

Lovely property! We stayed in the carriage house and it was Lovely and spacious. Be sure to pay close attention to the email you receive the day of arrival. It had specific arrival directions/map that were quite helpful. We walked from the train station in the rain & it was no problem. Was also within walking distance to many restaurants

Charm in a quaint town
This charming hotel was just the right place to experience the quaint town of Bayeux. Severing made us feel so welcome and was very helpful. The continental breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I’d go back in a minute!

Lovely staff, Francoise and Severine, who are charming and welcoming to their guests. Breakfast at the communal table is enjoyable. Two minute walk from the cathedral, and five minute walk from the center of town, quiet and safe. We would stay here again.

The design of the building itself was beautiful and unique (old French charm). The rooms were a bit chilly, though. Tough adjusting the heat to proper temp.

The guesthouse is very charming. It is clean which is important to us. It is located close to shopping, restaurants and many historic places. The manager is very helpful. It includes breakfast which is along the lines of a continental breakfast. There are no hot choices. The only drawback is that check-in is between 5 and 8 pm. So if you arrive early you can leave luggage outside and walk around.

Very nice stay at Le Castel. Lovely breakfast each morning. Françoise and her daughter were very helpful to us. Convenient location, within walking distance of the cathedral, the BAYEUX tapestry, and numerous good restaurants.

This is such a warm, inviting B&B right in the heart of Bayeux! The host is super friendly and spoke English. You can walk everywhere you need to go from the B&B with endless food and little shopping options. The room was spacious with views of the cathedral, and very quiet. Great place to kick off tours of the area! Breakfast was also delicious with homemade items!

A remarkable property, a great room, and a great breakfast. Extremely convenient to the town and to the tour origination stops. The only negative is the parking, but there is good street parking (free) about 100 yrds from the property. Highly recommended.

Very quaint castle like building. Very very old but much larger than any other hotel we stayed at in France. If you are looking for luxury and posh this might not be the place for you. Room is basic but charming and comfortable and adorably France. Gorgeous terrace with a stunning view of cathedral. Very central to Bayeux and walkable to everything including the meeting spot for all the tours. Host puts on an adorable breakfast every am that is included in your stay with coffee and yogurt and croissants etc.

We had an annexe completely separate from the main guest house, which gave us independence and privacy. The guest house is central and accessible from the station. We loved it.

Excellent option
The room was extremely tidy and clean with a huge bathroom. The breakfasts each morning went above and beyond with plentiful options to start the day. The hosts were very hospitable and welcoming. An excellent all-round option.

Servine met us at the door to greet us! She speaks English very well. Her breakfast is wonderful! Lots to choose from but nothing hot, if that’s what you’re looking for. No air conditioning but we had a lovely breeze coming in through all the windows. Highly recommend!

Fint hotell men charmen hade renoverats bort . Vänlig personal men de var bara där mellan 17-20 och 8-10 på morgonen . Sängarna var för oss alldeles för hårda och rummet ” andades” inte så det var mycket torrt . Fantastisk utsikt över katedralen

Le Castel is perfectly situated in Bayeux to help you feel like you are right in the middle of everything. It is less than a block to the cathedral and another block to the tour losing zones. The personal touch on the breakfast was also delightful. The only consideration is to plan around the limited check-in hours.

When we walked into the lobby, there was a very strong smell of rancid garbage that permeated the house. Our room was small, but very clean. Our room faced the street which was extremely noisy. View was lovely. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was okay, but less than expected.

A very friendly guest house with a warm welcome from owner Sévérine. Ample room, comfortable bed, good shower and excellent continental breakfast. Four minutes walk to the cathedral; eight minutes to the railway station. The 1937 architecture may look very gothic (almost Bates' Motel) but far from forbidding once inside.

Travelled alone and had a wonderful stay. Access code was provided for late check-in. There is limited parking and a €5 daily fee to park inside the gates but enough parking for free just outside. Cozy guesthouse and had a fantastic room with double bed and huge bathroom. Outside space is perfect for warm weather stays. Continental breakfast is included and served by very welcoming hosts. The guesthouse is situated in a great location with walking distance of all what Bayeux has to offer. Side trips to beach landings and cementaries are less than 30 min away. Overall great stay and great value. Would come again and recommended for anyone visiting on a budget. Request room 3 which has a balcony and good views.
