”I am posting because both management and the public need to know. I picked this hotel because it had an 8.6 rating, and I read someone’s review about the “musty” smell. I saw the managements response to “humid Texas”, I, however, decided to go with this hotel versus others. We understand that Texas is humid especially on the coast, as we own a house in another coastal town. This hotel was absolutely awful with the smell. Management should really address this as it made the stay intolerable.”

”The hotel was pleasantly surprising. The area for breakfast was vibrant and cute & parking was easy. We requested a high floor upon booking; day of check-in we called they had not put us in a top floor, but the staff was very prompt to make the correction without any bumps. As for the room, it was spacious and clean, but the bathroom was especially small & tight. Shower was a bit weird & scary; the floor creaked and felt as though any movement would send you through the floor & the facet handle...

”This establishment was by far one of the nicest places I have ever stayed... It felt more like renting a house than being at a hotel... Mostly because we were the only people there due to bad weather. The property is very remote, with a 15 to 30 minute drive to go to Walmart or dinner. (A lot of places close at 9:00 p.m., so get there early.) The property was very quiet in the morning, which allowed for spending time outside and enjoying nature... Especially from the enclosed deck.
