”We really liked everything about the Ollerod. Two thirds of our breakfasts were provided by Julie, who was so nice. We enjoyed chatting with her about the local area. The food was good and set us up for our busy days. We met Kim in housekeeping one day when we stopped by midafternoon. Our room was always spotless and looked as if we had only just arrived. The staff at the front desk were helpful and accommodating. One gentleman even arranged to have housekeeping launder a few shirts for...

”Beautiful location with stunning views. The room was contemporary and well equipped. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The food in the restaurant was excellent, as was the many choices of beers and wine. Ample parking with easy access. My only negative with the room is that the shower cubicle and bathroom could do with some maintenance by way of grouting and sealing, as there was quite a bit of mould in the shower. If you are a light sleeper, you may be woken up by the guests below using...

”We stayed here for 3 nights, the property was spotlessly clean on arrival. Parking at the cottage was a blessing as the road outside was busy with residents cars. An ideal base to explore Dorset, and several pubs within easy walking distance. Would stay here again.”

”Excellent holiday. Back to basics with no daily pressure. Lovely safari tent with beautiful views. Lovely hosts who leave you alone unless you need them. White deer roaming the fields was a lovely extra. In a secluded location away from everyone but near enough to get around and visit sights.Enjoyed every minute regardless of the weather a special place to visit to unwind and relax.”

”Absolutely lovely stay at the Barn. Such a great location: a friendly host, comfortable beds, super clean with large living areas. We will certainly be back. Great few days fossil hunting.”

”Great staff, lovely environment and super place to stay.”

”The room was clean, shower over the bath, but could be a problem to older guests encluding my wife. Placed my towel on the edge of the bath but it was not replaced, but we were told it had to be in the bath. At breakfast we were served with an overcooked fried egg on our first morning, the next morning we had a very greasy and hard fried egg with black bits on and the mushrooms were cold.”

”Very friendly owners, liked the history of the house.”

”Friendly manager and staff, comfortable room and bed and a great breakfast to top it off. Thank you”

”Lovely setting. Very friendly staff. Food was fantastic. Would stay again.”

”We had an enjoyable stay overall, despite a few minor inconveniences. The hotel benefits from a great location, and the availability of on-site parking was particularly convenient. We felt that a few improvements could really help elevate the experience. While the hotel is generally well maintained, some areas feel a little tired, neglected and lacking in purpose. The leisure area, particularly the space next to the now-closed swimming pool, is one example. We stayed in a family room, which...
