Why Knot Getaway...Rooftop with WaterView! Unit D

PRIME LOCATION! Why Knot Getaway is an adorable studio in Downtown Beaufort on Front Street overlooking the water of Taylor's Creek-great location for a coastal getaway! This prime spot is perfect for relaxing, strolling the waterfront boardwalk, and enjoying local shopping and restaurants. It also includes free parking with its own dedicated parking spot in the rear parking lot. Enjoy birds eye views of Beaufort, Carrot Island and Taylor's Creek on the common area rooftop and midfloor decking.

This is a 286 sq ft rooftop studio condo in a historic building in the center of downtown Beaufort. This unit has been completely renovated and designed and includes a comfortable queen bed with a Kitchenette and beautiful mosaic tile work in the shower and floors. There is a rooftop deck overlooking the harbor where you can enjoy sunrises or sunsets with your coffee or cocktails.

It is the perfect location to walk to all the wonderful restaurants, bars, shops, museums and day cruises - use our free parking and not worry about driving until you have to leave! You are only a ferry ride away to the beautiful beaches of Cape Lookout. Also, you can take a boat tour to Carrot Island to sit on the beach, Sand Dollar Island to get bucket fulls of sand dollars or see the wild horses at Shackleford Banks. Feel free to bring your own boat and store it at the Beaufort Docks or Boathouse Marina as well. Lots to do and the perfect getaway!

Boating Weekend

This small unit was perfect for our two night stay in Beaufort. We spent the days on our boat and evenings enjoying the shared rooftop sitting area where you can see Taylor's Creek, Carrot Island, and the charming town. Why Knot unit D had all the amenities of home. Only disappointment was being charged a cleaning fee while asked to take sheets off bed, wash dishes, and take trash to dumpster.

Our getaway

This unit is located right in the heart of town. Walkable to shopping and restaurants. Great location. No need to drive and has a dedicated parking spot. We were there for our anniversary and the owners left us a sweet card with champagne and chocolates. Very nice touch. Room was very clean and perfectly stocked.

New Favorite Place to Stay

We love visiting Beaufort and normally stay at a nearby Inn. But we have found a new favorite spot at Why Knot Getaway! It offered the perfect amount of coziness for my husband and me. The location was ideal for visiting shops, restaurants and bars that we like to frequent within walking distance. And the rooftop view with our morning coffee was quite peaceful!

Great for a weekend getaway

My husband and I stayed two nights for a quick getaway. The condo was very conveniently located and was easy to access. The room was small but nice. It was clean and looked as pictures shown online. The mattress was comfortable and water pressure was excellent. The owners left a nice anniversary note and small gift which was very kind. I have two small things (not really complaints just annoyances) the air conditioning unit is very loud and the deck shown overlooking the water is not right out the door as I assumed. The air conditioner was so loud you can’t watch tv and hear. We don’t watch tv usually on vacation but I turned it on one night after dinner and couldn’t hear at all. The captions were on and we now know why! Ha! The observation deck is a shared space with the other units. While very nice and definitely has pretty views, I would have preferred a nice view from our window but it’s just of another building. All in all the condo is a great stay for a quick trip where you can walk to most everywhere you need! We enjoyed the little bar next door that was in the house next door backyard and City Kitchen!
