”Beautiful two bedroom apartment in an old house with private entrance and outdoor dining patio. Perfect for a couple or small family as there is only one bathroom. Gorgeous gardens and flowers with private gated parking. Very close drive to wineries or tasting rooms as well as area Chateaus and villages. No food onsite but Grocery store within 3 kilometers for use in the full kitchen. Bottle of local wine was a nice Welcome gift. Owners/managers couldn’t be nicer. Great base for Chinon area...

”Patricia and Pierre are lovely, warm people who made us very welcome. The gite is spacious and set in very pleasant grounds. The swimming pool looked super but sadly, due to the cold weather, we were unable to use it. The log fire was wonderful for the cold nights. The area around is fully of interesting château to visit.fur the cold evenings. ”

”Varasimme kaksikerroksisen Superior-huoneiston, jossa piti olla mm. nopea langaton nettiyhteys. Sitä ei kuitenkaan löytynyt, puhelimenkin kuuluvuus alueella oli erittäin heikko. Myöskään mitään kosmetiikkatuotteita ei huoneissa kuvauksesta huolimatta ollut, edes suihkusaippuaa. Kävin myös pyytämässä uutta vessapaperirullaa vastaanotosta, niin vastaus oli, että huoneisiin kuuluu vain yksi. Lisäksi parkkipaikalta on etenkin lasten kanssa pitkä matka, jopa puolisen kilometriä alueen toisessa päässä...

”A fascinating property with a history. Fabulous views of the chateau from the bedroom windows and from the courtyard. Right in the centre of Saumur, but had a large heated indoor swimming pool. The extra treat was the pool table and pinball machine. It was easy enough to reverse the cars into the courtyard with practice. It was lovely and convenient for restaurants, the chateau and the bakery. Gilles, our host was at the end of a phone if we needed him. Nicole the housekeeper made us welcome...
