This 1950, 587 sq.ft. house had a strong odor of disgusting stale cigarette smoke. Febreeze and 2 cans of Ozium did not rid the sofa, recliner and other furniture of the stink. The front door seemed to be secure but was only very tight and not actually locked, which meant a good push opened the door. Two doors had hook-and-eye latches. The cabinets on the wall in the back bedroom were hung such that we hit it upon entering or leaving. The hot water was scolding hot. There were no instructions for using any of the lighting & heating equipment, or the TV.The small kitchen table against the wall meant no more than 3 could sit there. There were 4 folding tables in the living area and we squeezed 1 in the bathroom and used 3 as luggage racks in the bedrooms (did not want luggage on the floor). Bedroom doors - just fabric accordion doors, hung poorly and provided no sense of privacy. Bedrooms had only 2 queen beds, no twin.We found wasps in the sun room; they easily got in, so we could not use it or the attached porch. Carpenter ants – large, persistent 1/2” ants that we saw each night in large numbers, plagued us. My wife was bitten when she felt an ant in her hair while sleeping and tried to get it off.The small bathroom meant turning sideways to go in or out; there is no place to put personal items, except a small shelf above the sink for toothbrushes. The front bedroom gets hot; the living room A/C on “high” could not get cool air into the bedroom; we had to buy a fan.
