”The Lucky Trout Lodge felt like revisiting a trip from my childhood. It is a quiet motel on the river with a quaint and rustic feel. We stayed in the triple room with 1 king and 2 queen beds. There was a refrigerator, oven/stove, microwave, and coffee maker. The room was spacious but the shower was a bit small. However, it was perfect for what we needed! We enjoyed strolling around the property and a nice dip in the pool. The river is beautiful, foggy, and cold!”

”The hotel appears to be understaffed. The elevator was out of order for several hours when I arrived, and the desk clerk was attempting to fix it by himself. The hotel is not up to the same standard as other La Quintas in cleanliness and renovations. For example, common area carpets appeared old and stained. Also, this is the first La Quinta I've stayed at that had an extra charge for having a dog. One of the reasons I stay at La Quintas is that this is usually free. The charge was only $25, but...

”Even though I can sympathize with the limited amount of traffic through Clinton AR looking for overnights, this property could be stunning with some hard work. But that would require landscaping, cleaning the place up inside and out, providing the breakfast you advertised (but did not offer), pest control for ALL the sewer flies, fix the pool or fill it in, wash the bed covers or better yet replace, clean the carpets, and deep clean everything top to bottom.”

”We arrived to a clean and comfortable room late on a Friday afternoon with miles driven behind us. I longed to go horizontal for peaceful rest but my dear bride wished otherwise. You know what I mean. So I gathered my wallet and keys to take her to eat at a local restaurant.
Our stay was largely uneventful - just as expected. However, I caution the reader to NEVER agree to room 216. It was clean. It was comfortable. It was in the elevator lobby! Every single spousal argument or alpha male...
