Traveled from CA. Originally from Belvidere. Staying here made it feel like home. Rhonda and Angel were wonderful hosts, made the process easy and were always available. The home was very clean and spacious, and lots of natural light! Quiet and convenient location too! Definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay around the Rockford/Belvidere area.

We are three sisters who meet for the weekend several times throughout the year. This house was spacious, clean, and well stocked for cooking. The town is small and rural but has a Walmart and other necessary retailers. The neighborhood is lovely and is sometimes quiet and peaceful, but this property backs up to a working farm/elevator and heavy equipment can be quite noisy at times. In spite of that the back deck is large and nice to relax on. This property will probably become our go-to house going forward. We do recommend it.

House nice sized and good location. More furniture in upper living room would be nice. Beds not so low to the ground it’s hard to get in and out of them. Mattress toppers to add some cushion.

Will use them again!

Comfortable beds, which is a key, and overall pleasant space. One minor issue was communicated to the hostess, and it was addressed right away. FYI, the lock box proved to be a little difficult for us at first, but we got it figured out. Probably just our inexperience with those devices.

Thanks to VRBO for helping me find the property that was perfect for my 5 day trip to IL from the West Coast. Everything went smoothly and solved an issue I had in finding accommodations near DeKalb, IL to allow me to celebrate my dad's 90th birthday party. Great place to stay.

25 minutes from the Racetrack

Clean simple place that housed 6 six guys for a track weekend at Blackhawk Farms. We ordered par baked pizza and finished it off in the oven one night. One of the mattresses was stained but other than that, the place was fine. We would stay again.

Christmas visit

Overall the house was very comfortable and suited our needs for the holidays. Finding a decorated Christmas tree was an added bonus. The negative is that the house is sparsely furnished. With 4 bedrooms and enough beds to sleep 10 (we were 6), it needs more of everything. The living room has a lovely gas fireplace but the total furniture in the room is 2 chair so we didn’t spend any time there. It could be a great focal point. And while I don’t expect a gourmet kitchen I do expect enough for a large group to eat comfortably. There were exactly 6 dinner plates so we had wash after every meal. Only 5 coffee mugs so not enough for our entire group. And the only table seats 4. We squeezed in but again for a house that size it needs to accommodate a larger crowd. Having said all that the house was great for us and I would recommend it and would even consider renting again.

A Great Thanksgiving

Our family decided to gather at a central location this year. This rental fit the bill. We had plenty of room and a large kitchen to cook in. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans for our needs.
