Nestled in the heart of Caldera Springs, Caldera Cabin 42 is an ideal basecamp for exploring Sunriver and the surrounding area. This spacious 2,249-square-foot home offers 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to ten guests. Just steps from the Quarry Pool, pickleball courts, and miles of biking and walking trails, the location is both convenient and central, while peaceful forest views create a true retreat-like setting.
Inside this well-appointed two-story cabin, guests will enjoy open kitchen, updated living, and dining spaces filled with natural light from large windows, complemented by hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and warm wood accents throughout.

Great location by clubhouse and nice amenities

Lovely mountain house close to clubhouse and pool. House has spa, BBQ, ping pong table and bikes for all ages (some of the bikes need repairs). Well equipped kitchen. My only recommendations would be to provide more towels and to provide a step by step guide for using the TVs given the many remotes and options. Without renting through the HOA, you don’t have access to the second new Lake House clubhouse opening in the neighborhood or the golf course. But the original clubhouse is available to use and across the street. We enjoyed our stay in Sunriver and the owners were very responsive and helpful. Recommend this property.

Wonderful Family Gathering

We had a wonderful time at this home. Our group included 4 kids from 4-9 years old and 6 adults. There was plenty of space for everyone. The kids absolutely loved having their own retreat upstairs with the game room and their own bathroom. Having 2 en suite bedrooms on the first floor was so helpful. We traveled with older grandparents who have difficulty with stairs and this home made it very easy for them. Kitchen was well equipped. The home is close to the village. We look forward to coming back in warmer weather to take better advantage of all that the area has to offer!

December trip

My biggest problem is that the beds were so uncomfortable, the master bed and the bunk beds upstairs, also they said there was a pull out bed upstairs but when we got there it said it was unavailable. During the stay a few problems where quickly resolved by the management company ( a noisy smoke alarm, and the hot tub was not clean or warm). I did not want to write a review but VRBO and the owners kept insisting. So in conclusion nice house terrible beds.

We got a last minute deal on the house . And our stay was great loved the location and layout of the home. Kids had a blast pool was great and the bunk room upstairs was really nice . We would stay here again

Nice place but not clean

We go the Sunriver every Christmas with my family. I have 4 adult children and 2 grandchildren who are small and spend a decent amount of time in the floor playing. I had reached out to the host when I booked the house to please make sure the floors were clean for this reason. I can say with 100% certainty the floors were not! Maybe swept but not mopped. It was very gross. I cleaned the entire wood and tile surface downstairs and the rag was black every time I rinsed it out. Not to mention pick slime on the floor of the master shower. The house comfortable and laid out nice.

I guess house was as advertised but not quite as hoped for

The house is clean and looked like the pictures but we were not as comfortable as we would have hoped to be. The main living room and kitchen were cold but with turning up the thermostat the bedrooms were then too hot. Also, we did not buy any coffee as we anticipated there would be some packets like at hotels or the other VRBO properties where we have stayed. The coffee maker was there but no coffee. So, we had to go without coffee as the weather was not good enough to venture out just for coffee. The only microwave buttons that work are the "30 seconds" and "cancel". None of the other buttons worked, so I kept having to hit "30 seconds" to get food that we had hot enough. One other disappointment was when we wanted to watch Forest Gump after we had gone to Bend for dinner only to discover the DVD box was empty, same with Elf and several other DVD cases. It seems like half of the DVDs are gone. For the amount of money we paid I would expect free coffee and tea and the movies to be there if the cases are. Someone needs to cull the DVD cases or just get rid of them altogether. It would have also been nice to have instructions on using the TV/cable as it took 3 of us numerous tries to get the TV/cable to work. In the end we figured out that we had to turn the cable box on manually. It would not give us a picture/signal with trying the remotes, and we are all savy with using electronics. The home owner was prompt in responding to our question about the TV when I texted, although, we figured it out in the meantime. Ultimately, I think the property is way overpriced for what it is. VRBO fees and the cleaning and service fees are ridiculous. I have stayed at nice places for less money. It seems that the price was comparable to the other advertised houses in the area but just think that Bend is now just overpriced for everything. Next time I would rather just get a really nice hotel room and save money.

Great Location

We loved the location of the house! It was great to be so close to the club house & pool areas! Although we didn’t have time to use it, the lake area was also close by. There are great walking and biking trails all around the property as well! We really enjoyed the home! There was plenty of room for two families. It has a wonderful kitchen/living space that was great for meals and socializing. We look forward to going back again another time!

Beautiful home but....

Could improve on the cleanliness of the home. Definitely needs new kitchen pots/pans, mixer doesn’t work coffee grinder doesn’t work. For the price was expecting something more decent. In great location.

Fun Family House

We are a family of 10 and this house was perfect, the children had a great time in the upstairs and there were plenty of things to do in the house as well as the surrounding areas. The kids enjoyed the pool with the water slide I think most of all.

Great location! Beautiful home! Home contains lots of options to facilitate a very fun time!

We had a wonderful couple of days over spring break! From hot tubbing, ping pong, paddle boarding, kayaking, and biking, we didn’t run it off options to do. We also played at the playground and used the tennis and basketball courts!
