Self Contained Country Cottage - semi rural property PET and child Friendly

Lovely rural property, complete with a working chook house - yes farm fresh eggs for breakfast. Self Contained Cottage has a fenced in area to keep pets safe. Sit on the large covered verandah and watch the wild life go by which includes Rabbits and many types of native birds, or step out side the fenced in area for a lovely tree swing. Only 12 minutes from Bendigo CBD, less to Bendigo pottery, or various short drives to wonderful haunts like Colbinabbin Silo Art, Echua, Heathcote, Bridgewater, Castlemaine, Maldon, Reasdale & Axedale.

Generous apportioned cabin, which can sleep up to 4, Separate Bedroom with Queen Bed, Separate Bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen and family room complete with a sofa bed, full cooking facilities, continental Brecky offered upon request. Condiments supplied include Coffee. Tea, sugar, oil for cooking, salt and pepper and limit Spices.

Walking distance from Huntly Hotel providing smoke house and traditional pub meals, Award winning George's Bakery, Take away Gourmet burgers El Gordo's, a friendly LGA supermarket, hairdresser and Laundromat.

It’s a dream
Staying at this property is a dream. It’s like being home, quality everything, little nicknaks everywhere . More than enough food for brekkie. And fresh eggs to die for from the chickens in the backyard. Heating turned on for our arrival.Perfect enclosure for our mini daschound.Chatting with Mitch and Meagan the Hosts. Just like talking to your neighbour. Really loved our stay. And will recommend it to anyone I know who will be staying in Bendigo.

We give this accommodation 10 out of 10 the hosts have gone over and beyond to make sure you have everything you need you even get fresh eggs from their chickens. It was very cosy we felt very at home we will be back.

Peaceful and relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
A most enjoyable stay in a rural suburb of Bendigo. The hosts were outstanding in their assistance to make our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. The facilities available in the cottage were excellent and the little additional touches were very much appreciated. The cottage was heated before we arrived and our hosts were readily available on the end of the phone to address questions. Breakfast items were very convenient and homely facilities readily available. We’re had a very comfortable stay and thoroughly enjoyed the overall experiences. Well done!

Little slice of paradise
The photos of this beautiful little property on the outskirts of Bendigo simply not do it justice. We absolutely loved our stay at Huntly Country Cottage and are super thankful for Meagan, Mitch and Murphy giving us and our furbaby, Cookie, the opportunity to stay. Meagan has equipped the house in an aesthetically pleasing and super comfortable manner. We had everything we could wish for in a property and more. The eggs from the chickens were beyond delicious. Whilst this little cottage is nestled right among other houses, it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere and we loved listening to the birds and watching the bunny rabbits running around. Cookie absolutely loved exploring the property and we felt really safe when he was in the enclosed yard. It truly is a very pet friendly place and they have thought hard about how to protect pets and ensure pet owners can relax. The verandah / undercover area was fantastic and gave us a great place to sit in the morning sunshine and just enjoy the ambience. Do yourself a favour and book yourself a weekend away! We stayed with our 2 dogs and couldn't have asked for more. Clean with all the necessities and the fact breakfast supplies were included was a big bonus. The cottage yard with access to the bigger yard was fantastic for the dogs. Would happily stay again.

Great position, perfect yard for my chihuahuas
The option wasn't offered, but i stayed there with my two chihuahuas to celebrate one of them turning 10. Clean, all the basics were there. Glad I took hot water bottles as it got really cold at night and I don't like sleeping with heater on. The fresh eggs were a real treat! The position was great for bird photography, so close to the Gold Leaf Wetland and the White Hills botanical gardens.

We loved staying at this property, it was extremely clean, comfortable and convenient. The highlight of our stay was relaxing outside on the deck, reading a book with a cuppa. It was nice having the chickens wandering around the property and we enjoyed the fresh eggs we had for breakfast. This property had everything we needed and more. It was a lovely surprise to find many thoughtful supplies which you wouldn’t normally expect to be provided. I would highly recommend this property to anybody looking, we will be back to stay again.

Peaceful and quiet
My partner and I with our 2 large dogs had a wonderful stay here. The place was clean and tidy and had all the necessities. It was also double gated so that was reassuring when we let our dogs out forn a run around in the mornings. Hosts were wonderful and very responsive. Highly recommended a stay here if you visit.
