”My girlfriend and I had a 2 night stay to explore Millinocket and Baxter State Park. It's location is central and travel is easy to Baxter State Park and whatever you want to do in the area. For space, it is perfectly spacious for 1-2 people, but anything over that would be too much. Bathroom is a bit tight but very usable. Kitchen is full and has everything that one would need. The bed is super (SUPER!) comfortable and the entire apartment was spotless. Host was always kind and understanding....

”We stayed at this location for a long weekend that included the total solar eclipse. The location is beautiful and the cabin is perfect. We were not able to utilize the dock or really get into the woods because of the snow but still enjoyed our time. 10/10 would recommend!”

”This was our second stay at this magical property! We were there for a long weekend with adult kids and one high schooler. Everyone had had a bit of a stressful Fall and the home in its gorgeous was the cure for what ailed us. Gorgeous, super fun, creatively designed house with some of the best views I've seen anywhere, even on gray days. Convenient to lots of great hiking and mountain biking as well as kayaking/canoeing and (for the hardier souls) swimming. Highly recommend!”

”Our family gathered here for the 2024 solar eclipse and could not have asked for a better place. The property is quiet, well-maintained, clean, and beautiful. The property owner is responsive and helpful. We lucked out with great weather: sunny and clear views of Katahdin, with ice still on the lake and piles of snow from a spring snowstorm. This property would have been great with any weather. Cannot recommend highly enough”

”You can spend the day canoeing on the lake or off-roading with you ATV or Jeep on the surrounding trails. Nights under the stars by the camp fire listening to nature sounds. I wanted a relaxing trip off the beaten path and this place delivered. The cabin had everything needed for my stay, right down to the boat shoes and bug spray. Host did a great job setting the place up for a truly authentic and memorable experience.”

”We came up for the eclipse extended weekend and were pleasantly pleased with how friendly and thoughtful our host was. She took the time to show us around and made sure we had everything we wanted. The house was very clean and as advertised (actually it was better than pics!). We arrived Saturday evening and the host was very attentive, friendly and welcoming. They left us 2 pair of eclipse glasses, bottle of wine and plenty of kitchen/bathroom amenities. The pellet stove was simply fantastic!...

”As soon as I saw the enclosed porch I knew it would be perfect. And the rest of the house was wonderful too, warm, clean, comfortable. This was our 1st trip to northern Maine. Here for the solar eclipse. And we will be back to this beautiful home away from home.”

”The home had most everything that we needed. Loved the location on the lake and the proximity to Baxter State Park and Millinocket! It was quite comfortable. The window blinds need to be replaced so that they are easier to raise and lower, but that is minor. Note that the cold and hot water controls in the lower level shower are reversed.”

”The pictures don't do this property justice, it is much better than you expect. Plenty of room for a few families. So clean and very well stocked kitchen! We came during snow and ice still on the lake, but I can imagine what a perfect place for the summer too. Loved how friendly everyone is in the area. It's a long drive or we would definitely plan to be back. Thank you!”
