I loved this property and will certainly return next time I visit Big Bear! That said, they were definitely unstaffed which led to some not so great service. When we first arrived at 7pm we had to wait almost an hour to check in because the front desk agent was on her dinner break. I totally understand everyone needs a break but there should definitely be a manager to cover breaks! It was a Friday night and the property was definitely busy. Then when we got to the room, the keypad didn’t work so we had to call and get that sorted out. Then I tried to get a breakfast sandwich and was told that the employee who makes them called out sick and no one could cover. It just seemed so odd to me that twice in a two night stay it was clear that they need more help.
That said, the property was beautiful, the rooms very clean and nice and the food was delicious!
