  • Jos etsit hyväpalkkaista elämää kätevällä kävelyetäisyydellä kylästä, Sky High Retreat on täydellinen paikka ryhmääsi varten! Viehättävällä näköalalla järvelle, pohjoisrannikolle ja arktiseen ympyrään sinä ja vieraasi on tarkoitus tuntea "maailman ylhäältä" samalla kun nautit raikkaasta vuoren ilmasta. Etu aukeaa pelihuoneeseen, jossa on täysikokoinen biljardipöytä, pingispöytä, minijääkaappi ja 2 taulutelevisiota. Yläkerrassa on olohuone ja iso keittiö, jossa on graniittiset työtasot, puuhuonekaapit, ruostumattomasta teräksestä valmistetut laitteet, kaksoisaterassi (täydellinen ruoanlaittoon suuria aterioita), saari, jossa on baarimikko istuimet 3 ja suuri ruokapöytä, johon mahtuu 10. Keittiön vieressä on olohuone, jossa on suuri poikkileikkausvahvistettu sohva, ottomaani, kaasu takka, litteä televisio ja kuiva baari, jossa on 3 baarituolia. Tila tuntuu massiiviselta korkeiden holvikattojen ja suurien ikkunoiden kanssa, jotka mahdollistavat runsaasti luonnonvaloa.
    Astu ulos kaarevalle parvekkeelle ja nauti kauniista järvinäkymistä rentoutuen ulkouima-altaassa tai ruoanlaittoon hiiligrilliin.
    Sijaitsee Länsi-yhdyskäytävän yläpuolella Village, ylellisellä alueella Ironwood Estates. Kävele kylään, jossa voit nauttia ostosmahdollisuuksista, ravintoloista tai rauhallisesta kävelystä. Lyhyt ajomatka Big Bear Lake, Snow Summit ja Bear Mountain. Olipa sitten kalastusta, maastopyöräilyä, vaellusta tai vain raikasta ilmaa ja kauniita maisemia tämän vuoden aikana, olet varmasti nauttinut lomastasi tässä ylellisessä kodissa, josta on upeat näkymät!

The house is more beautiful than the listing pictures show. The bedrooms were spacious and the common areas were large enough for my big family. The house is not perfect and has signs of wear and tear like missing dresser handles, chipped wood on cabinets, and old bedding. The location however… PERFECT. The house is so close to the major Big Bear attractions. Overall we had a fantastic stay here and would come back in the future.

Had a blast!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Super spacious and well located in a nice neighborhood. Some things I was not happy with was: -hot water running out so we struggle to take a bath. -fireplaces didn’t work. Overall it was good.

Beautiful veiw

Large enough for my family with a gorgeous veiw. Obvioisly used alot. Low lighting in kitchen and bedrooms and baths downstairs. Immediate attention by management. We had to ask for baby gate for stairs and a pack and play, which was broight right away.. But the worst was the hit water situation. After 1 and a half days we only had enough hot water for half a shower. Miserable as you could imagine. The upstairs qun bed , where my son and wife were to sleep was impossible to sleep in. It kept rolling to the center. The king bed was like sleeping on a rock. Our 2nd night was to be our big family dinner.But could only come up with 7 forks. We were offered more , but it was already too late. Half wer shower

Great view - big house

The house is big roomy and had enough space for our 9 people. The view is beautiful. It was stocked with the basics toilet paper, a small amount of paper towels, soap , shampoo and shower gel. Couch was on the newer side and comfortable. It was close to everything we needed. Lots of tvs and the pool table, ping pong table and foos ball table were fun. What could have used improvement: the fridge doesn’t get very cold on the door. The fridge and dishwasher should be replaced, some of the shelves are taped because they are broken. lighting in kitchen isn’t good, the coffee maker had an old moldy coffee filter in there so we couldn’t use it not knowing if the inside was moldy. There was a giant spider web hanging in the master bath like no one has dusted in forever. I could see the foot print of the last persons feet on the shower mat which made me think they don’t change it often . I’d probably stay again but I’d have to bring some of my own things which defeats the purpose of a rental.

Lots of small issues

The good: 1. Great location. Large lot next to is with snow and hill kids could sled on 2. Lots of rooms and places to sleep 3. Large dining table and lots of seating around common area The Bad: 1. Roads leading to the place are steep and icy. Was not plowed. Saw a couple cars get stuck and one slipping backwards. We were advised by a tow company that this is common occurrence on Payne st. 2. Hot water randomly turned off in upstairs common shower. Sometimes didn’t work at all. Master shower was either cold or with a small adjustment very hot. No in between. 3. Pots and pans are old and dirty 4. Fridge is on its last legs. Barely cold despite turning down to collect setting. 5. Pool table is very bad shape. Side bumpers are torn up and warped. Disappointing because it was a big reason we chose the place.

Great for a group with kids (or not)

Overall this was a great place to stay. We had a group of 3 families - 6 adults and 5 kids (2-6 years old). It was a spacious place for the kids to play. I could also see this as a good place for a large family gathering. Nothing in the house is brand new or top end, but I wouldn't expect that when I was renting it. Pros: -There was a sledding hill just a short walk up the hill to a large open park area. I didn't see any sleds at the house, so plan ahead a bring your own in case. -All of the appliances worked well -The hot tub was nice and well kept. -The pool table was nice, it works and is in relatively good shape for an in home pool table, does have a slight break to it. -The ping pong table works well, but don't lean on one side as it is a little unstable. -Hot water was not an issue for us (as in other reviews). I know the house has a tankless water heater. -We brought extra towels based on previous reviews, really. Needed them for hot tub use. Cons: -Utensils. There weren't enough. I wouldn't care that much, but it was in other reviews and probably costs $10-20 to fix. We counted 7 forks. Amazon or even Goodwill? -Beds - The mattress in the master is a 10/10 firmness, hopefully they get a new one, but bring a topper if you can. -Remotes - There were 5 remotes sitting in front of the main TV, but the one that worked was in the couch cushions... -The TV in front of the PingPong table was useless. It turned on, but isn't Smart and not connected to anything.

I can’t believe there are not more negative reviews…

I am shocked that there isn’t more negative reviews about this property. This house is supposed to sleep 15 people but there are only three bathrooms and most of the time only 2 of them worked. All of the beds but one feel like you are sleeping on bricks. So uncomfortable and very little bedding on each bed. The hot water tank works so poorly that most people had to take freezing cold showers in 20 degree weather. The house was not as nice as the photos, as there were damaged blinds, a hole in the couch, old shampoo bottles, etc. When we first arrived the bathroom wasn’t working, tvs wouldn’t turn on, and the smoke alarm wouldn’t stop beeping. It was a nightmare to walk into. We paid a lot of money to rent this for three nights and could have saved money and stayed at a hotel where basically needs would have been met. The property manager Alicia was very kind about the situation and even dropped off an air mattress, blankets, and wine to make up for the inconvenience. While we were happy with her going out of her way, the overall experience was not something that VRBO should allow. Owners of the homes should disclose things like a broken bathroom and bad water tank. Anyways, overall good location but would not recommend!

Booking and checkin process flawless. Spent thanksgiving there and kitchen was fully functional with plenty of dishes/serve ware to make thanksgiving dinner. Plenty of space for family of 13 and beautiful view in quiet well kept neighborhood

Great location nearby to the village and lake of course. The views were decent of the surrounding area and we enjoyed spending a lot of time out on the deck. There's a jacuzzi and barbecue out there so it makes it fun to be outside. They do need to get more outdoor chairs and invest in a new barbecue. Overall the place was very clean and the amenities more than worth it. The pictures we saw online didn't really give it the justice it deserves. I would recommend this location to large groups or families. Check in was super easy and the property manager Megan is really good to work with and help you with questions.

43rd Bday getaway time put the jet Ali’s on the lake

Had a great time, 3 different families getting together to enjoy the lake and get away from the city grind. The kids were downstairs playing in the game room, nice hot tub, with a old raggedy cover, that needs to be replaced. But the hot tub worked, great sunset views off the deck. Super chill set up.

The property was exactly as described. We truly enjoyed our stay! This was the second year in a row that we used this property. The property service was easy to work with, very flexible to our check in needs and responsive as needed. Highly recommend this property!

Amazing A++

Big Bear Services went above and beyond to take care of us. Very friendly and would respond very quickly to any and all questions. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again. The massive living room was perfect for our large group to be together. The jacuzzi was hot and very clean. Kitchen worked perfect and had everything we needed to cook. Fyi. The street to the home is pretty steep. They plow it in the mornings, but it snowed heavy one day. Two of our 2-wheel drive sedans with chains got stuck and couldn’t make it up. One 4-wheel drive tacoma with decent tread and no chains made it up fine. So did a 2-wheel drive tundra with chains.

The property was gorgeous, inside and outside, Cody, our host, was amazing, helpful, and welcoming

The house was nice and spacious, however, the house was not fully equipped to 16 people to utilize. For example, there were only few bath towels and handful of hand towels instead of 14-16. Bathrooms were not stocked with soap and toilet papers, we had to buy our own, although we paid almost $1800 per family for the duration of our stay which was 3 days. Doors to rooms and bathrooms made lots of noises which was annoying to people who were sleeping. No broom, or vacuum if you spilled something or the floor got dirty. No cleaning detergents and many kitchen items were missing. Too much money for 3 nights and we had to buy most of the house items :(

This being said, however, it’s time for the owners to put a little attention to the upkeep of the home. The carpets are warn, the deck is aging, lighting is not great in kitchen, and the air unit is not working. Touch up work can go a long way and refresh this beautiful home!

Best Big Bear getaway

We had such a great time here, there were 16 of us and it comfortably housed and slept us all. The view from the porch was amazing! We were definitely surprised with how beautiful this cabin was and the great location. It would have been better if the cabin had some basic kitchen appliances such as a noodle strainer and tongs. We had a large group and wanted to make spaghetti for dinner and bacon and eggs in the morning. These seem basic and weren’t available. Everything else was great!

Great family vacation

There was 15 of us to include 7 children and the downstairs area was the kids area which worked out perfect. I would definitely recommend this album.
