The Expedia directions to this property will take you to the Econo Lodge parking lot, further down the road. It then guides you to the back area where some shady creatures roam. Don’t stop, make a U-turn and leave immediately. Don’t make eye contact with the local prostitute who camps out there. Just drive.
Once you figure out on your own where this Best Western is, by actually looking out of your windshield, you will find that this is more of an old school motel-style property. It’s right next to the fancy Holliday Inn, where you wished you booked instead.
The hotel/motel: decent but nothing luxurious or special. The room was fine. Bed not comfy but lots of pillows. The bathroom is segmented into two areas; the sink is part of the room and the toilet and shower in a separate area with a door. You will need to squeeze next to the toilet in order to close this door. There’s not much room.
I was able to park my car directly in front of my room/window and front door. Nice and convenient. If I needed to grab something out of my car, I literally just opened the hotel room door.
The front desk staff was exceptionally courteous and professional. Now for the surrounding area…. Okay….. here we go. If you plan on staying at this property, keep in mind that you will need to get into your car and drive elsewhere to find something to eat. There’s plenty of options, but unless you wanna experience the transients and crackheads up close and personal, you need transportation.
