1. Walking distance to beach, BBH 4827

Birch Bay

”I was in town for a conference at the local resort. While I was bummed at first that the resort was booked, I think I got the better deal with this cabin in Birch Bay. Only 15 minutes from Semiahmoo, this cozy cabin was a perfect respite within a quiet, picturesque community. A stone's throw from the water, and away from vehicle noise. The room has a comfortable bed and efficient kitchen with stovetop, microwave and fridge. The bathroom was clean and well, stocked with towels and toiletries. An...

13. The Cowboy cottage

Bellingham

”We enjoyed an extended stay at Cowboy Cabin. It was great being out in a rural area, and we especially enjoyed watching hawks, swans, and other birds in the marsh across the street. The on-site staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Just know that this is an older building with dents and bruises, and the heating system could use a little attention. I'll bet kids would enjoy the cowboy decor and plenty of room to play in the large living room.”

14. Cozy 1-bedroom / bath private entrance in peaceful Lynden with AC Mountain View

Lynden

”Owner is friendly and communicative, room is clean and minimal but does lack places to hang things up or organize your belongings. The bed is very firm and the pillows are pretty flat so I would recommend planning for that if it's something that would bother you, or, ask the owner if they have any other types of bedding (I just didn't want to bother them for such a short stay). Otherwise it's great if you're just trying to find a spot for the night.”

Lynden

”This is a beautiful home with all of the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. All appliances are new, the furniture is beautiful and parking is available directly in front of the walkway to the front door. The host gave clear instructions and the home was spotlessly clean. The minute you step inside you realize that you are in a comfortable and safe place. It feels like home. Loved everything about it.”
