GUEST VERIFICATION:

To ensure a smooth and secure stay, we require the primary guest listed on the reservation to complete a simple screening process within 48 hours of booking confirmation. Please note that your reservation is not confirmed until these steps are completed.



Once verified, and prior to check-in, guests will be asked to sign a Rental Agreement that includes:

- Agreeing to our rental terms and conditions.

- Providing a valid government-issued ID and a matching credit card before check-in.

- Paying a non-refundable $60 damage waiver. The damage waiver provides coverage for accidental damage during your stay, as long as it is reported prior to your check-out. This is collected either at the time of payment through the booking platform or afterward, depending on which platform you use to book.



The damage waiver covers accidental damage that may occur during your stay. To ensure coverage, all damage must be reported promptly while you’re still at the property. We understand there is normal wear and tear at houses but should anything accidentally break or get stained during your stay please just let us know. Thank you!



NOTE: Outdoor pools in North Carolina typically close for the season in October. Availability may vary depending on weather conditions and property-specific maintenance schedules. Please inquire ahead of your stay if pool access is essential.

It is a very nice house! We were notified the day of arrival that the hot tub wasn't working. They just said that they would adjust the price appropriately. I wish they would have told me an exact number. Also, the heater in one room wasn't working. It was in the 30s the week we came, so that room was unusable. Fortunately, we didn't need that room. This is a great house if you aren't specific about what is working or not working. If you are flexible then it is great. If you don't have any flexibility then pay attention to the reviews. Black mountain is a really cute town and the house location is convenient. Beautiful views. The 2 bedroom apartment over the garage is really nice if you have 2 families!

Fourth of July Family tradition and birthday celebration

Every year we bring the family and grandkids together for a reunion and birthday celebration. We come from Florida, Kentucky, and Maryland. This place was perfect for the 12 of us and host was very communicative and pleasant

Beautiful but electric appliances did not work

Home is beautiful. Location was amazing. We were told the day we were heading there that the hottub was not working but they would have it fixed ASAP. We arrived Wednesday night, we discovered the stovetop was not working. I reported it, someone was supposed to come check it on Thursday. To my knowledge, no one came on Thursday. The hot tub still was not working. I emailed HomeTeam. Thursday afternoon, I realized the AC in the main house was not working. They were very apologetic. Friday afternoon, an electrician came and checked the stove, he said the cooktop needed replaced. He also looked at the AC, it needed a new capacitor. He checked the hot tub, reset something on the breaker box, he thought he may have fixed that, but after about an hour, it stopped working again. Thursday evening, we noticed that the comfortor in the master bedroom, had multiple stains. The outdoor furniture under the porch…in that seating area, has a fire table. We were planning on using that space, but the furniture and the table were covered in dirt and bird droppings.There was trash left in the couch cushions from previous guests. They wanted me to measure cooktop so it could be replaced for next guests and sent someone when I was unable to do it instead of waiting for us to leave the next day. . Communication was great, they didn’t solve any issues though. They refunded, less than 1/4th total cost …NOT worth the aggrevation. Never had problems with any VRBO location until this.
