”We chose to stay hear because it was our dream on this backpacking trip to stay in a castle. The castle is beautiful, warm, with the wood fireplace burning. I will say that for a very old property they keep it extremely unkept. It is of older charm, so keep that in mind (older carpets, less electrical plugs). The food , staff, and the stay was amazing, I only wish we weren’t backpacking so we could’ve stayed longer.
One thing to note are that the parking situation threw us off alittle because...

”Excellent stay at Silver Birch. The bed was extremely comfy and the tree house was really well equipped and well furnished. Hot tub was lovely to appreciate the views.
Only minor points we would make would be the shower was a little disappointing compared to how luxurious everything else was. Also the spiral stairs to the hot tub felt quite loose, not the safest option. ”

”This hotel was amazing. It is abit out of the way and we were unsure what we were going to get. The hotel was beautiful and clean, the staff were absolutely lovely, the meals were cooked to order and delicious, especially the breakfast. It was hands down the best hotel we have stayed in all thru Ireland and Scotland and ourstanding value for money.Do yourself a favour. Thankyou so much for our stay.”

”We had a great stay here. The host had wonderful communication before, during, and after our stay. The place is cutely decorated and well stocked. There was plenty of room for my husband and I. There was a dedicated parking spot that was convenient. The area was really quiet while we were there.This was a convenient home base for day trips to Dundee and Glamis. ”
